Day Twelve – The Day of Blazing Jealousy

The morning was unusually calm… as if the world had secretly agreed to grant them a soft, gentle day.

They woke up late, after a long night of passion and whispered confessions—confessions hidden between the lines, reshaping much of what had been between them.

A knock sounded on the door.

Naomi: “Come in.”

One of the ship’s attendants entered, setting a simple breakfast on the table near the balcony: carefully sliced fruit, honey shimmering in the sunlight, and cups of freshly steaming coffee.

She turned lightly and left.

Naomi: “Thank you.”

The door closed behind her.

Naomi sat across from Adel. There was no longer any distance between them… One word now could cross from one heart to the other.

Each of them knew exactly what lived inside the other’s chest.
