The phone buzzed in my hand just as I stepped out of the car. I glanced at the screen, the name of the dealer flashing across it. My stomach churned. I wasn’t sure if it was nerves or the nagging sense of dread that had been following me lately, but either way, I knew I couldn’t ignore this call. With a deep breath, I swiped to answer.

"Konrad speaking," I said, keeping my voice steady.

The dealer's voice was sharp, brisk. “Got the contract ready. You want to move on this or what? Time’s money.”

“Email it to me,” I replied, forcing calm into my tone. “I’ll go over it, and it’ll be signed by the end of the day.”

“Better not drag this out, Konrad,” the dealer warned. “I don’t have time for second-guessing.”

“I’m not second-guessing,” I said, my grip tightening on the phone. “Just send the damn contract.”

“Fine. Check your inbox.”

The call ended abruptly, leaving me staring at the blank screen. I slipped the phone into my pocket, exhaling slowly. The weight of the day pressed heavier on

  • NEXT BILLIONAIRE IN NINE MONTHS    Someone's love

Camilla twirled the flared fabric of the gown she wore and glanced at the dressing table as the sounds of voices talking faintly reached out from behind the walls. The weather was hot and uncomfortable at that time of the evening and she couldn’t disassociate the uncomfortable feeling to whether it was caused by the room or the tension. At the other end of the room, Konrad sank against the casement, his back rigid, his fixed stare travelling through window glass to the horticultural plots far below. She looked at him for a while – the way his jaw clenched and the look of distant focus in his eyes. He had known that he had been grumpy about the engagement—it was his father’s engagement to be precise—But Konrad had never been one to express how he felt in articulate terms. The only time he did was when he saw her naked.“Don’t tell me you’re intending on moping through the entire evening, we're getting engaged.” Camilla remarked in a tone that was bright, but her eyes giving her a pseud

Konrad sat perched on the edge of the wooden bench in the garden. He couldn’t focus. Again and again, His mind went back to the moment; he could not think straight. That he had seen Camilla—his girlfriend—naked was not enough; what was terrible was the feelings that followed it. The shock, the guilt, and something further that was more ominous that he couldn’t place a name to.Camilla wasn’t just anyone. She was the woman he was in love with, or so he thought, the woman he respected, the woman he was open with. However, the man was provoked into saying something he did not know he was capable of confessing in this period of utter anguish and helplessness. He hadn’t intended on walking into the room like that. The door had been half opened and he believed she was not there. However, as soon as he entered, everything stopped and so did he. So there she was, standing by the bed, changing. The surprised look in the widened pupils of her eyes was as much a replica of his as she frantically

I had never seen her like that before. The words kept repeating themselves in my mind as I paced back and forth in my living room. She had been furious, a whirlwind of emotion, and everything I had done seemed to push her further into that storm. But that wasn't the worst of it. No, the worst was how my mind kept drifting back to the one thing I could never unsee.Her.Naked.I winced as the image flashed in my head again, followed by the memory of her anger. I could almost still hear her yelling, her voice fierce as she hurled things at me—vases, books, whatever she could get her hands on. It didn't make sense. What had started as a quiet conversation had spiraled out of control so fast that I couldn't keep up. I had no idea why she was so upset with me, but it didn't help that I couldn't tear my eyes away from the way her body moved. I was trying to focus on her words, to apologize, to do whatever it would take to make things right. But her beauty... her nakedness... It was overwhe

The darkness of the room felt suffocating, and the sharp click of the briefcase being shut echoed like a signal in the night. There was no need for words anymore; the transaction was complete. The exchange had been made. He was being paid. Cash, thick stacks of it, filled the briefcase, and the man taking it barely acknowledged the recipient’s presence. It wasn’t a new game, not for him. In fact, this job wasn’t even the most complicated, or the most dangerous, but it was certainly the most important. He stood there, his eyes cold and impassive, taking in the finality of the situation. The man he had been hired to kill would never know what was coming. That was always the way it went. Some faces were erased from the world without a second thought, their stories ending abruptly, like a page torn from a book. The assassin moved with precision, each step purposeful, the corners of his mouth barely twitching in a semblance of satisfaction as he adjusted the weight of the briefcase unde

I had expected to find Lev in his usual spot, but when I walked into his apartment, something was off. The air was thick with the kind of stillness that made everything feel too quiet. As my eyes adjusted to the dim lighting, I spotted him slumped on the couch. His long, lean body was sprawled out carelessly, his face a twisted mess of exhaustion. I hadn’t seen him in this state before—not like this, not so vulnerable. Normally, Lev carried himself with a quiet intensity, the kind of composure that radiated control, a carefully cultivated aura that made him untouchable. But now, he looked like any other man—tired, drained, and utterly spent. He had always been the kind of person who gave everything and expected nothing in return. He was ruthless when it came to business, driven by a need to maintain his empire, yet there was a part of him that I had never quite understood. It was buried deep, hidden beneath layers of guarded walls. But that wall was crumbling now, and I could see it

  • NEXT BILLIONAIRE IN NINE MONTHS    Confessed

I hadn’t expected Cam to be so open about her feelings. We had been through a lot together, and I could see the depth of her emotions. But when she said she was serious about marrying me, something clicked inside me. It felt surreal, almost like a dream I never thought would come true. But here she was, standing in front of me, her eyes brimming with sincerity. We were sitting in the quiet corner of my apartment, the city lights casting soft shadows through the windows. It had been a long day, and I had hoped for a peaceful evening, just the two of us. The air between us had been thick with unspoken thoughts, but now she was sharing them, and it felt like a weight had been lifted.“You know I’m serious about this, right?” she said, her voice low but firm. “I’m not just saying it because it sounds nice or because we’ve been together for a while. I want this. I want us. And I want you to know that you’ll always have me.”I watched her carefully, trying to gauge if she was speaking from
