SELENA

I rubbed my arms gently, trying to ward off the coldness, but that didn't seem to help as my hands had turned cold even though I had only just stepped into the room.

My teeth chattered, but I moved forward, and soon, I stood before another door.

"Come in."

King Jared's cold voice came through.

I nodded and pushed open the door. Stepping in, I realized the room was as cold as the one I had just left. If not colder.

I swallowed hard and raised my head to see the triplet Alphas sitting leisurely at the center of the room.

The room was large. As expected of a place used by Alpha Raviel.

There was a large table at the center, which was filled with numerous documents, and on the walls were many maps.

There was no spare space on the wall, and a look could make someone dizzy. How could someone feel comfortable sitting amidst so many books?

At the east of the room was a long row of books. The entire space was filled with books, and merely looking at the properly arranged books m

SELENAMy heart skipped a beat as I stared into Nick's eyes. His light golden eyes were filled with indifference at the moment. He gazed at me like I was insignificant...Confusion bloomed in my chest. "Why should I come with you?" I could tell something was wrong, so why would I willingly go with him?He even called me Selene. He must have mistaken us again. "Murderer Selene, come with us, please." He said coldly. My eyes widened. Murderer? What did that supply mean?I shook my head. "I think you're mistaken. My... I wouldn't kill someone." I said confidently. Selene could be anything, but she would never be a Murderer. She couldn't even hurt a fly. How could she kill a person? But Nick didn't seem like he wanted to waste time with me. He gestured to the guards behind him and turned around to leave. My eyes narrowed, and I stepped backward, unable to understand what w

SELENAI shook my head at Alpha Drake. "Don't." I mouthed to him. Even though I was unable to see due to being held in Alpha Severin's arm, I could feel the gaze of everyone on us. What would they be thinking at the moment?I wished they would say it out so I could at least hear them. However, I knew that was impossible as every one of them feared the Alphas around me. Alpha Drake's lips parted, seemingly wanting to say something to me, but his eyes narrowed at the hold of Alpha Severin on my waist, and he turned his head away. "I will see you another day, Selena." He said and disappeared from the room. Seeing that, my heart clenched, and my lips quivered. My fingers twitched, wanting to stop him, but I knew I had no right to. Before the triplet Alphas, I hadn't chosen him. I had instead told him to keep quiet...How sad would he have been? How disappointed would he have felt?I removed the hand on my waist and took a step back. "I'm leaving," I said with a bow. Alpha Severin's

SELENEI watched as the Alphas fought over Selena. Alpha Raviel was silent, but his gaze burned more than fire. Alpha Jared looked on, but the storm in his eyes was enough to sweep everyone away. Alpha Severin directly approached, snatching Selena away and pulling her into his arms as if she belonged to him. Alpha Drake growled. His anger blared, showing in his pupils. The four Alphas acted like no one else was there. They acted like the banquet was their backyard and did not even bother to think about the other Alphas in the room. My lips twitched, and a sneer escaped my lips. Did they think Selena belonged to them? In their eyes, they owned Selena, right? How ridiculous. Selena was mine. From the beginning, the moon goddess had given her to me, and though I didn't appreciate her at first, she was still mine. No one... none of them could own her. I stepped forward and took Selena's hand, pulling her toward me. However, Alpha Severin glared at me. His deep blue eyes seeme

SELENAAlpha Drake's eyes lingered on me. His smile was as dazzling as ever as he took my hand in hers. "Can I take the stage together?" He asked with a raised brow. My lips moved. Take the stage? If that would alleviate the guilt in my heart, even a little bit, then I'd love to. I nodded, and a small smile appeared. "Let's do that." His eyes widened, but they quickly returned to normal. However, the excitement in his eyes couldn't be hidden. His fingers firmly wrapped around mine like he was scared I might change my mind, and he led me toward the stage. All eyes were on us. Everyone tried to act like they were staring. But my ears heard everything they were saying. "Isn't that Alpha Drake?""No, I'm more focused on the beauty beside him. Who is she?" "She? I saw her at the summit. She should be the BlueMoon Pack's slave who took the lead in those competitions." "You're right. My son wouldn't stop talking about her. She's so talented and beautiful.""However, she's still a sl

SELENAWe got to the banquet, holding hands and smiling excitedly. On the way here, the maids and slaves had given us enough envious looks to dampen our mood, but for some reason, my excitement only increased the closer I got to the banquet hall. We were about to enter when Selene suddenly pulled me back and pushed me toward the wall."Ugh." I groaned as my back hit the wall. The pain penetrated my bones. Her eyes were cold. Her lips pulled up, and her arm gripped my neck on the wall. My eyes widened. Confusion brewed in my heart as I looked at her. "Selene..." I called with difficulty. However, her arm only tightened around my neck. I coughed with difficulty. "Selene..." I called again. Selene's jaw clenched, and her eyes flickered. She slowly lowered her head, and her eyes closed. "What should you do?" She asked. My brows raised. My lips were already quivering from the pain and shock. I looked at the guards around us, who were also staring at us with confusion in their eye

ALPHA RAVIEL "So, the maid is dead?" I asked Nick, who was reporting a murder case to me in Jared's office, as he was out for a meeting. He nodded. I tapped my armrest with a slightly furrowed brow. A maid's death wasn't exactly baffling as there were countless cases over the years where older slaves and maids died from old age. But not once had there been a news that a young maid died and that too, from stabbing. I could tell none of my brothers would do such.Jared was too delicate and too much of a clean freak to have someone else's blood in his hands. He would rather tell Severin to help him eliminate a person...Severin wouldn't do that, either. As ruthless and bloodthirsty as he was, he had thousands of ways to end a maid's life without stabbing her and he wouldn't even leave her before my office that way, knowing how much I hated such scenes. So, who could it be?"Do you think it's that spy? She even managed to enter without anyone knowing. Maybe she met the maid on her
