An hour as Denniel stared in front of the large mirror. She also went back to the mirror several times just to see her reflection in the mirror. Unbeknownst to her, she smiled suddenly. But she suddenly became serious when she saw someone standing behind him. But only for a moment and she laughed out loud as if there was no tomorrow.

"Den ---?" Kim was stunned to enter. Kim saw it all. She saw the man standing next to Denniel. She did not understand their conversation. But Kim cried out in fear when she saw it turn its head in front of her. She immediately ran out. Her heartbeat was like a drum beating with speed. Turn around him, lest you follow him. But when she turned around, she was immediately shocked when it was in front of him right away. Tilt the woman's head. Her feet were bare and she was wearing a broken white dress. She hugged herself in fear. She could not move her legs to get away from this person. It quickly approached him and strangled him.

"Help! Help! "  Kim asked for help. She seemed to be out of breath.

Margo left the room when she heard a noise. She first saw Kim. It chokes itself. Margo immediately helped the woman.

"Kim? What happened? " She immediately approached Kim. She also removed its hands holding her neck. Choking oneself. Her eyes were already fixed on the stranglehold.

"Help! "  Her voice weakened.

"What help are you saying? " I asked him in surprise.

"What's happening? " She added.

"That woman will kill me? " She told me. At the same time point behind me. I turned nervous, But I didn't see anyone else. Her forehead furrowed as she looked back at Kim.

"Are you okay? " She asked. She touched Kim's forehead lest it is hot.

"I'm not in sickness!" She replied, afraid of the voice.

"I don't see anyone else, do I? Besides, you're the only one here. " I said. Kim's expression was blankly looking at my face.

"Are you sure you don't see anything?" She was sure to question. Because she is sure of what she sees she is not mistaken. If she didn’t see what I saw. I mean... is she a bad ghost? Who is she? Maybe she hurt anybody here at home any of us. If ever.

"Yes, Kim? I haven't seen a woman! We're the only ones here? " Margo's answer was shocking.

"But--"

"Kim? That's right, okay? You're just scaring yourself. Call Denniel! We're leaving. " Margo said, with an annoyed voice. She thought it was just a lie.

Kim took a deep breath. Then she got up and went to Daniel's room. She decided Denniel would just ask him about the woman she saw.

"All right, but sister. I'm not lying we have someone else with us here at home.. the paranormal expert didn't say! " She said, to Margo.

"Kim.. the paranormal says he's got rid of it and we don't have to worry anymore! " She replied.

"No, she's still here.. in fact, I saw him in Daniel's room.."  She said to Margo. Its reaction was blank. But it smiled at us.

"Haha! Maybe that’s just what you thought Kim, ” She said, not believing.

Sighed,

Kim stood up and adjusted herself. Her hair was messy and her clothes were messy. Margo was also left alone. Margo does not believe in evil spirits or ghosts. She has no choice but to be her own.

Margo took a deep breath. She followed Kim's gaze.

Daniel was still wearing a uniform when Kim entered. Her face was serious as she looked at him.

"Why are you alone now?" I asked at the same time raising my eyebrows.

"Admit it? Who was that woman with you here earlier, huh? Don't you know she's bad? You see she did it to me on my neck! ” She said angrily.

"Hello? Are you okay? Because I'm worried about you. " I answer.

"What about Daniel? I'm serious. "  She said sullenly to me. I saw the darkening of Kim's neck.. but I do not know what she is saying.

"Sighed, I'm also serious about my answer to you Kim? " I told him.

I already took my bag. Today is my first day of entering the Morgue. She smiled as she examined her reflection in the mirror. Her uniform was a good thing.

"What? But I can see something here, in your room.. standing right behind you! She even turned to me. Then I ran in fear! And she followed me.. she strangled me, Daniel! " Fear was in Kim’s voice at me.

Daniel's forehead furrowed, she didn't remember anyone else in her room. She is alone.

"I'll leave Kim..." I replied, looking at him. Kim's hands trembled. It is restless. It was as if she was seeing something malignant in this house.

"I saw something, Daniel! I can see it right in my eyes! I'm not hallucinating, as you think.. it's true what I saw, here and the woman strangled me! She's malignant?" Kim insists.

"Okay? Okay? Just calm down Kim. " I told him. To calm him down. I don't want to see him get more scared, but I have no choice. To tell him what she saw. I also felt sorry for him that she might think she was mentally ill.

"I believe.. you... Kim.. because sometimes I also see.." I said. Kim looked up. Those who looked at my face nodded.

"Really? You're not kidding me! " Like a child, she said to me.

"Yes, I'm not kidding! " I answer.

"Aahhh!! I don't want to be here anymore! I'm scared! "  Kim shouted which surprised me and I was stunned when she shouted. But I fell silent when I heard music. I was surrounded. I looked at Kim they heard nothing.

"Shh.. come on.." I stopped him. My hair is starting to stand on the top of my neck.

I pulled Kim out of our room. I feel like we have someone else in the room. I never told him that feeling. It may only scream in fear. As we went out of the feeling room, I stood up with small feathers on one of my arms and it was cold enough to touch my skin. I didn't look at him because I might have had a heart attack when I saw him.

"Daniel? We're leaving. I'm going somewhere. Are you coming, Kim?" Sister's, question greeted us.

"Yes... I don't have anything to do here either. "  Kim's economical answer. She was afraid to leave the house.

"I'll go with you too, that's where I'm going," Mommy said.

"All right. Mom?" Margo answered.

They were in the same vehicle. Daniel quietly listened to their story. Not that she had nothing to say. Too bad, she felt. She didn't hear anything they were saying, it was vague in her hearing and they laughed, she didn't hear much even when they were close to me. Their voices echoed in my brain. She even heard someone shouting and calling her name. But not everything was clear to him. All she could see was a light object dazzling in Daniel's eyes.

BANG !!!!

Something ran into them. That thing was so powerful that it hit them. Rolling tires their car with the force of the impact.

The dark laugh from the basement sent fear rushing through all of them again. But Cheska forced herself to think. Her mind moved fast, trying to connect everything they had seen. The locked room. Her grandfather’s grimoire. The strange, unsettling portraits. All of it pointed to something far worse than a simple gas leak. While her friends stayed close together, shaking with fear, Cheska looked down at the small leather journal in her hands. It was her grandfather’s. The same journal her mother warned her about… the same one Lola Elena tried to hide.“This,” Cheska said firmly, her voice cutting through the panic, “is our only chance. My grandfather’s journal. It might have answers… or at least help us understand what we’re facing.”Marco, his face pale, slowly nodded. “She’s right. We need to know what that thing is… and how to stop it.”Ben tightened his grip on the iron poker. He looked at the journal, fear and hope mixed in his eyes. “Do you think it tells us how to fight it?”Ch

The door burst open with a loud crack, followed by a deep, animal-like roar. It was a sound Cheska knew she would never forget. A huge shadow filled the doorway. She couldn’t clearly see its form in the darkness, but she could feel it—heavy, suffocating, and full of evil. The whispers grew louder, turning into a deafening chorus. It felt like the voices were coming straight from the creature itself—hundreds, maybe thousands, all screaming the same word.“Mine… mine… mine…”Lia let out a piercing scream, raw and full of fear. Ben, who had been trying to act brave earlier, stumbled backward. He tripped over a fallen book and hit the floor hard. Marco stood frozen for a second, his face pale with shock, before quickly pulling Cheska behind him, trying to protect her—even if it felt useless against something like this. But Cheska didn’t move.Fear still gripped her chest, cold and tight, but something else was rising inside her—something stronger. Determination. The images she saw from th

The door to the locked room slammed shut with a loud, echoing bang, trapping them in a darkness so thick it felt like it was swallowing them whole. For a moment, no one could see anything—not even their own hands. Then the sounds came. The frantic scratching in the hallway grew louder, faster, more desperate. The low, guttural growling turned into something far worse—a deep, chilling roar that seemed to shake the floor beneath them. It wasn’t just outside… it felt close. Too close. And then, the whispers. At first, they were faint. But slowly, they grew louder, clearer—twisting together into a terrifying chorus of voices. Cold. Angry. Hungry.“Mine… mine… mine…”The word repeated over and over, crawling into their ears, slipping into their minds like a poison they couldn’t escape.Panic gripped Cheska’s chest, sharp and suffocating. She could barely breathe. Beside her, Lia was screaming—a desperate, high-pitched cry that echoed in the darkness before being swallowed completely, as if

  • NIGHTSHIFT    Chapter 20- Fear and Resolve

The malevolent chuckle that came from behind the basement door shattered what little composure they had left. It wasn’t just a normal sound—it felt wrong, unnatural, like something ancient and thinking was hiding just beneath their feet. The kind of sound that didn’t belong in the world of the living. Then came the silence. It pressed down on them, heavy and suffocating, as if the house itself was holding its breath… waiting to see what they would do next.Lia broke first. She sobbed openly, her whole body shaking as if she might collapse at any moment. Ben, his face pale and lifeless, bent down to pick up the iron poker he had dropped. His hands trembled so badly that it slipped from his grip once before he finally managed to hold it tight.Marco—always the calm one, the one who never panicked—stood frozen. His eyes were wide, filled with fear that mirrored Cheska’s own. For the first time, he looked completely unsure of himself. But Cheska… her fear felt different.Yes, she was terr

  • NIGHTSHIFT    Chapter 19- Tonio's Secret

Mang Tonyo’s departure left a deeper silence behind, heavier than before. It felt like the whole house had swallowed his presence, leaving only a cold and uneasy feeling. His strange warnings and unclear answers made everything more mysterious. Cheska couldn’t shake the thought that Mang Tonyo wasn’t just a caretaker—he was someone who knew the dark secrets of the house, someone who had seen things he refused to speak about. Ben still held the iron poker in his hand, but now it didn’t feel like a weapon anymore. It felt useless, like it couldn’t protect them from something they couldn’t even see. “So, what now?” Lia asked softly, her voice almost disappearing in the large, empty entryway. “Do we… just pick rooms?” Marco, trying to stay calm, stepped forward and took control. “First, we need to make this place safe, or at least try. Ben, check all the windows and doors on the ground floor. Make sure they can be locked. Lia, you and Cheska look for the fuse box or anything that can

They found the old doll, and it seemed like it caused the strange noise. For a moment, the tension faded, but the fear didn’t go away.Cheska couldn’t shake the feeling that it wasn’t just a coincidence. The doll’s cracked, empty eyes felt wrong—like it knew something, like it was silently blaming them. Even though it was just an object, it gave her chills. As they walked down the grand staircase, the house grew quiet again. But it wasn’t a peaceful silence. It felt heavy… like something was watching and waiting.“Well, that was anticlimactic,” Ben said, trying to sound relaxed, but his voice still shook a little. “It’s just a doll. Nothing to worry about.”Lia hugged herself, still uneasy. “I don’t know, Ben. It felt… intentional. Like something wanted us to notice it.”Marco, trying to stay practical, spoke up. “Whatever that was, we need to focus. We should figure out where to sleep—and check if there’s water or electricity. This place is dangerous in the dark.”Before anyone could
