BETRAYAL, REJECTING BACK

ADELINE

The whole room reeks of raw sex and I place my palm against my nose so as to keep away the disgusting smell.

Jaxon is in between the girl's legs, busy eating her coochie up as if his life depends on it. In return, the girl is moaning and groaning, crying in pleasure and calling out his name.... calling him daddy... Oh gosh, doesn't she know who her father is? I silently ask herself.

They're both deep into it to notice our presence, something which makes Alpha Waylon to clear his throat loudly. Jaxon almost jumps out of bed and probably out of his skin when he sees both of us, most especially his dad.

He sits upright on bed after pulling up his pair of shorts while the girl scrambles for the sheets so as to cover her nakedness up. The shameless she-wolf is stark naked!

"Dad!" Jaxon calls out his father's name. "Why are you here and why did you bring her here?" He cries foul while pointing at me. His eyes are suddenly red, an indication that he's utterly pissed off. The girl in question is crouching in bed, covered from head to toe and facing the wall.

"You son-of-a-"

"You're so shameless, Jaxon!" Alpha Waylon scoffs, cutting me short. I was ready to call him all sorts of names so as to satisfy my hurt and shattered ego. "You're not a man but a coward!" The Alpha adds angrily. All my pain is now gone and in it's place, extreme numbness which is hard to tell the cause.

"You shouldn't have brought this dirty maid here. Her presence just disgusts me to the core!" Jaxon scoffs, eyeing me with warning eyes. He doesn't know that I've already told his father everything.

"So you rejected her so as to be bringing different bitches in my house?"

"She told you?" He asks in surprise. He can't believe that I have gone against him and betrayed him.

"What did you expect?" Alpha Waylon retorts.

"Well, it's good that she has told you because I was intending to introduce Sandra to you in the morning. She is my chosen mate and she'll work alongside me as the Luna and Alpha of this great Pack!" Jaxon says proudly, something which makes his father even more angry.

"Over my dead body!" Alpha Waylon scoffs, bitterness clouding his thinking. "I will never hand the throne over to you unless you make it right with Adeline here. Only then will I be able to consider you man enough to be trusted with this Pack's leadership!" His dad gives out his conditions.

Even after seeing everything which just happened here with my bare eyes, I still have a soft spot for Jaxon since I'm yet to reject him and I'm still hopeful that he'll come back to his senses and claim me.

However, Jaxon eyes me with eyes full of disgust then spits at me. "I've already rejected this bitch and I'll reject her again and again if need be. I can't be with her. I'll never be with her!" He stands his ground.

"Why do you hate me this much, Jaxon?" I ask, my eyes already clouding with tears.

"I just hate you and you should never question my feelings. Your mere presence pisses me off!" He says shamelessly. "Dad, please take this bastard out of my room before I do something the three of us will regret!" He commands but his dad just raises his hand.

"Forget the Pack leadership Jaxon." His father who has been silent says. "Make things right with her and I'll hand the leadership to you." He adds. "And as for this bitch you call your chosen mate, just tell her to get back to her senses and dress up and leave this Pack House because I don't want to see her anywhere around here!" He orders.

"But dad, you haven't even gotten to know her!" Jaxon complains. "Sandra is a tycoon's daughter from the Crimson Moon Pack and I am deeply in love with her!"

"It's either she leaves or you both leave!"

"You bitch!" Jaxon pounces on me but he doesn't even get to me because his father bars him, pushing him roughly back to the bed. "How dare you turn my dad against me!" He growls angrily.

"Young lady, get out of here before I send my guards on you and I'm sure you won't like it! Alpha Waylon commands, making the girl scramble for her clothes then runs to the bathroom while tying the bedsheets around her chest. She's the same girl from yesterday and I'm convinced that they only met at the party.

"Daddy, she's not going anywhere. She's already mine and—" Jaxon claiming another woman as his infuriates me to the core, something that makes me to spit at him and immediately make a tough decision.

"I Adeline Careen Maxwell reject you Jaxon Chris Hunter back. At this moment, I severe all ties with you and I will never be your mate. I pray to the moon goddess to heal me from this rejection pain and bring me my second chance mate as soon as possible. You're free to do whatever you deem fit!" I reject him angrily and bitterly, obviously freeing myself as well as him and setting him free to do whatever he feels like doing.

Jaxon slumps back on the bed, clutching his heart and abdomen at the same time, in a lot of pain just like he did to me yesterday and after giving him one last hateful look, I spit at him yet again and then turn to exit the room. I don't even want to know what happens to him or the Sandra girl, right now I just want to keep my sanity before everything crumbles before my very own eyes.

I open the door and bang it behind me noisily, leaving the Alpha and his son in there. Jaxon can go to hell for all I care!

As I walk down the stairs, the girl comes running, almost knocking me down but I step aside just in time to let her pass. I'm tempted to push her down the stairs but I think against it since I don't want to stain my hands and get convicted of murder!

Right now it's already morning and the birds are chirping from outside, singing happily for seeing another beautiful day. For a moment, I wish I was born a bird so as to be free from all this hurt and rules. At least I'd have been free, chirping and flying all over the place without labouring and with no cares in the whole world!

At least I wouldn't have been rejected by someone whom I thought and hoped would bring me out of trouble and made me his own. At least—

Jaxon's words hurt me to the core despite the fact that I've already rejected him. How could he bring a girl into his room and claim that she's his chosen mate. Does that even happen in this Pack? I think he has just lost direction and he needs to be reset!

One thing I'll never forgive him for is calling me a bitch, over and over again even when I'm not on the wrong. It's not like I've ever wronged him anyway. My presence just pisses him off, the more reason I want to be out of here! However, I don't think Alpha Waylon will ever allow me to leave this Pack but I'll just gamble with my luck.

I'm already in my bedroom at the maids' quarters and immediately I let myself in, I lock it and slump onto the bed. This time round, I don't even cry. I just stare blankly at the ceiling, wondering what would become of me after this. I sincerely need a mate and I certainly hope and pray he comes my way soon. I badly want to be out of this hell hole.

Now that I've already rejected Jaxon, I don't know what step he'd take and the Alpha might be away and won't be able to help me. If I continue being a maid here, Jaxon might intensify his mistreatments now that we've rejected each other and also involved his dad yet he warned me not to tell anyone about us being paired by the goddess. Oh no, I can't stand his face and his constant mistreatments and hate towards me. I need to think and act fast before it's too late!

Either way, I lock myself inside my room, not minding what everyone else will say. If anything, I'm just looking for a reason to be sent out of this Pack because I'm so tired of living here!

I don't know for how long I stay awake but I eventually snore all the way to slumber land, not minding the fact that it's already morning.

I dream of a beautiful and a caring second chance mate but something happens in my dream that leaves me in shock.

While still in dream land, I find myself in a clearing in my wolf form, basking under the sun after swimming in the lake for some minutes.

I'm so exhausted and relaxed at the same time and as I bask, I hear a voice behind me. Upon turning, I only see a bright light which makes the whole place bright and well lit.

"Do not be afraid, my child," the voice says. "Your days of suffering are over and you're soon going to meet your second chance mate and he will love you just the way you want to be loved!"

"Who are you?" I ask in surprise. I've already shifted back to my human form.

"I am your mother and I'll guide you all through this journey. Do not escape my child, for I will always be with you!"

"I-i-"

"Goodbye my child, someone is coming!" The woman's voice says then the light disappears immediately just as it appeared.

I wake up sweating profusely and I immediately sit up on bed, wondering what has just transpired. Or was it just a mere and meaningless dream? I'm sure that was our mother the moon goddess and she was trying to pass a message to me and I'm not gullible enough to ignore her message!

There's a knock at the door. At first, it's soft but as time goes by, it's frequent and hard. Someone is calling me from outside and I recognize the voice to be Debra's.

Grudgingly, I climb out of bed and then head to the door to usher her in.
