CHAPTER 5 The Real Reason

  Theo's POV

Elsie's indecision was beginning to irritate me now, I could feel myself becoming more impatient with her. Why was this such a difficult question for her to answer? Yes or No.

Her actions at the moment really showed me what kind of a person she was, flakey and indecisive. Was this really someone I wanted in my pack? Maybe I should retract my offer, I didn't want this to become too much of a chore. Having a nanny for Gracie was to alleviate my stress from me, not cause more work.

"Perhaps some time away will help you decide your answer, Elsie," I spoke up, wanting her out of the way or my blood would begin to boil. Keeping my temper calm isn't my strongest quality at times "Take Gracie into the garden and play,"

I watched Elsie's eyes lock onto me, she held such contempt within her green gaze, and I felt as though she wanted to harm me where I stood. I became slightly amused by her at this moment, it seems she was easy to fluster. A part of me enjoyed that about her, and I wondered how easily she would crumble in other areas.

"Alright," Elsie replied "I'll go with Gracie, perhaps it will help me clear my head," I could tell by the expression on my daughter's face, she was excited by this chance of time with her potential future Nanny.

I had no idea why Gracie had become so attached to Elsie, her little face beamed whenever she looked at Elsie. What could it be? Was it something I couldn't see? Gracie was always a good judge of character.

Kneeling down, I met the eye level of my little girl "Be good for Elsie, okay?" I gave her a gentle hug "Show her your toys, and play nice," I left a soft kiss on her cheek.

"Yes Daddy," Gracie replied with a grin. I watched her take Elsie by the hand and lead her out of the room, describing all her favourite toys in the garden to her Nanny. It was sort of adorable, but I couldn't let those feelings fog my mind right now. I refused to let myself become weak to Elsie, not even one little bit. I had to focus on the task at hand.

"Brothers," I said, clearing my throat "Are we all definitely on board to have Elsie join the Pack as Gracie's Nanny?"

The twins nodded, and I could see the interest in both of their expressions. I knew they both felt something toward Elsie, both attracted to her, but for vastly different reasons.

"I know she would be a great asset for us, she can free up so much of our time looking after my daughter," I paused, listening to my own words "Not that I don't enjoy spending time with my Gracie, but she needs time away from me to grow,"

Feeling like my excuses probably came off sounding a bit careless, I couldn't really express the real reason I wanted Elsie as a Nanny. To humiliate her and teach her a lesson for having relations with Rory Roth. Having the audacity to enter my Warrior Selection, and being a Nanny would prevent her from ever having the chance to train for her Warrior status further. Elsie must learn her place.

  Kai's POV

I listened to Theo's words, but they were pretty much in one ear and out the other. He blew some hot air at times, but I smiled and nodded anyway. My mind was elsewhere, I thought about Elsie and how hot she was.

That long mane of flame red hair, the curves of her figure and her eyes. Wow. I also felt myself twitch beneath my trousers as I memorised the shape of her breasts, which heaved beneath her well fitted tee.

"I'm all for Elsie being with us," I spoke up, leaning back into my chair, I raked my fingers through my long dark hair "She's great,"

I watched Theo raise a brow "She's great?" He repeated my words "Care to elaborate on that dear brother?"

"She's cute," I replied with a shrug "We could do with some eye candy around here, kinda get sick of looking at your ugly mugs every day,"

"We're identical twins," Oris said as he shot a look at me, peering at me over his glasses "You've just insulted yourself,"

I laughed "That's why you're the smart one of us bro," I grinned at Oris, playfully jabbing him with my elbow "But we always knew I'm the hotter twin,"

Oris groaned in reply, his fingers rubbing at his temples with impatience. He really needed to lighten up, he's not that worse looking than I am.

"So yeah…," I paused "I'm team Elsie. She can share my room if she likes,"

  Oris's POV

I groaned, why must Kai be such an animal when it came to an attractive woman? His views seemed disrespectful at times. One sniff of a pretty girl and he turned into a hound at the mere scent of her, unable to contain his excitement.

"Please kai," I said, pushing my glasses up my nose "Keep all of your thoughts on the inside, and don't share those with me either,"

I took my gaze to Theo "I find Elsie interesting," I said "She seems intelligent, and would be a good role model for Gracie. She needs someone who can nurture her mind and creativity no doubt,"

Kai snorted at my words "Nerd," he said under his breath, but like most times, I ignored him.

"You have a fair point, Oris," Theo spoke up, seemingly also ignoring our brother "I think Gracie needs some female influence, seeing as her Mother is no longer around,"

  I nodded "I couldn't agree more,"

In reality, I wished to keep Elsie around because her mind seemed fascinating to me. I wanted to converse with her, and get to know her brain and all the information it holds. I imagine her days training as a warrior as well, she no doubt has incredible stories to tell.

I really hope Elsie accepts our offer.
