Chapter Thirteen.

Nathaniel’s Obsession

“Don’t fucking dare me, Isobel. Get out,” Rafael said harshly to her as she walked into his room with a glass of water and some painkillers. She saw how his face, jaw, and cheek were swollen. Nathaniel had purposely avoided his eyes.

“Oh please. I’m only here because grandma sent me. Now stop shouting,” Isobel lied. She came because he had been in there alone for a long time and she was concerned.

“Okay drop the stuff and get out,” Rafael said. She watched how he sat up without even showing he was in pain. Her brothers definitely knew how to hide their pain.

“She wants to know how you’re feeling,” Isobel said with her head held high. It was then Rafael knew she was lying.

“Get out Isobel. I won’t repeat myself,” Rafael said glaring at her now.

“Or what?” Isobel asked nonchalantly.

“You really want to find out?” Rafael asked getting to his feet. He didn’t even scare her at all.
