Chapter 2

Our eye fluttered open but quickly shut closed from the bright light. We opened it again and it took several blinks to adjust to the lightning. We stared at the ceiling for a few minutes just to regain our thoughts.

"What happened?" I asked him while we sit up and examine the room we're currently in.

"I don't know? Last thing I remember is seeing our parents." I smiled inside our head at his slip of the tongue.

"You just admitted-"

"I admit nothing!" He booms in our head using his Alpha voice. He thinks it makes me submit to him but he always forgets that it's my voice too. We look around again and see that we're in the infirmary.

We lay back down and close our eyes, relishing the silence. Though everything is short lived once we heard the door open softly. We took a peak at who the intruder was, already in an attack position but we saw it was just our mother.
