I was utterly taken aback by what I heard, my eyes widening in disbelief. I instinctively took a step back, my eyelids fluttering rapidly as I struggled to comprehend the words. "What do you mean, janitor?" I questioned, my voice trembling with a mix of shock and confusion. It was as if I hadn't heard him correctly the first time.

Cameroon threw his head back and let out a hearty laugh, clearly finding amusement in my reaction. "You heard me right, Avery," he said, a smirk playing on his lips. "Why, don't you think the position is suitable enough for you? Let's not forget, you were once my maid before I offered you this contract. Honestly, there isn't much difference."
