Nick didn't come back to the office till almost close. He hadn't meant to stay gone so long but he needed the air, he needed to clear his thoughts. He was already having doubts about playing Cheyenne's little game. They were too close to each other, there was no not seeing each other.

As he walked in Cheyenne looked up from her phone frowning at him but she didn't say anything. "You wanna go home early?”

She shrugged looking down, "I mean I guess." Looking up she tilted her head, "do you want me to go home early?"

Nick stopped beside her, "so is that a no?"

"I'm not going to say no if that's what you are asking." Looking up at him Cheyenne sighed, "so instead of running you're sending me home now?"

Nick let out a laugh that surprised them both. "How do you know I wasn't sending you to my house?"

Cheyenne rolled her eyes, "don't play with me, Nick. I do know where you live and we both know you aren't ready for that."
