Chapter Thirty Two

I don't fancy having to come to Kary's school because of little things such as what happened yesterday. I believe Miss Nora should have known better than to see Kary as a child who is disrespectful to her elders but it's obvious that I misjudged her and I won't stand for her attitude towards my daughter.

I pull into the parking lot, cut the engine and turn to look at Kary who's staring gloomily out of the window.

"Hey baby."

"I don't want to go in." She turns her head to look at me. "I want to see Grandma Meira."

"Let's take care of this first." I say. "Then I'll take you to see Grandma."

"Promise?"

"Have I ever not fulfilled any of my promises to you?" I ask.

"You have." She murmurs.

"Then I'll do just that after we're done here." I assure her.

"Okay." She nods. "Thank you daddy."

"You're welcome baby." I smile at her then unfasten my seatbelt and get out of the car. I go round the hood to open the back door and unfasten her seatbelt then help her out of the car but I don't
