LOGINI woke up early to send money to my parents. After that, I did some laundry and got ready for work—hopefully, I wouldn’t run into that annoying guy today.
“Hello, Nay. I’ve sent you some money already,” I told my mother over the phone.
“Anak, thank you so much. You didn’t have to. You should’ve just saved that money for yourself. We’re okay here—your dad and siblings too,” my mom replied.
“It’s okay, Nay. I still have to finish doing my laundry and then head to work. Don’t worry, I’ll work hard and marry a rich man someday, so I can give you everything you deserve. I hate seeing you all struggle,” I said to my beautiful mother.
“You don’t need to do that, anak. Your dad and I are content. Just be careful over there, okay? We’re so far away from you,” my mom reminded me gently.
“Yes, Nay...” we said goodbye and ended the call.
“Washing clothes is so tiring. What time is it?” I looked at the clock. “Oh no, it’s almost three.”
I quickly took a bath to get ready for work. When I arrived at the casino, of course, that nuisance Gabriel wouldn’t leave me alone.
“Hello, Miss Beautiful! Did I surprise you?” he asked smugly.
“You’re here again—and why would I be surprised?” I replied to this arrogant man.
“You two act like you've known each other for years, when you just met yesterday,” my boss teased.
“Tito, look at your cashier—she’s so rude. She should be nice to the guests here,” Gabriel said with a fake complaint to his uncle.
Then suddenly, a beautiful woman approached Gabriel and kissed him on the cheek.
“Gabriel! So this is where you are,” the woman said.
“Dianne! Wow, you’re still as beautiful as ever,” Gabriel smiled, holding her hand.
“The casino is really your life now, huh?”
“Not really. I just come by sometimes.”
I don’t know why, but hearing them talk like that in front of me irritated me.
“Dianne, you’re here! Are you going to play?” my boss asked her.
“No, I’m just here to watch. Since my longtime crush is also here,” she replied.
“Me? Your longtime crush? That still a thing?”
“It was, back in college. You just never noticed me,” she smiled.
I wanted to tell the two of them to go somewhere else and flirt.
“Come on, let’s play,” Gabriel said, wrapping an arm around her waist.
“That Gabriel guy seems like a playboy… Just saying,” my co-worker whispered.
“Not seems—he is one. You can tell,” I replied, still glancing at them from afar, even though I told myself I didn’t care what they were to each other. But I couldn’t deny that I felt annoyed.
Gabriel called out to me again, obviously just to tease me. And honestly, in fairness… he was very good-looking—like everything I’d ever wanted in a guy. Rich, handsome… but a casino addict, and clearly a womanizer.
“Hey, Gabriel’s been calling you for a while now,” my coworker said.
“Me? Why?” I asked, puzzled.
“I don’t know. Just go over there.”
“Ugh, seriously...” I muttered as I walked over to Gabriel.
“Samantha, come here,” he said.
I had no choice but to walk closer.
“Closer,” he insisted.
“We’re ordering drinks. She wants a glass of wine, and I’ll just have a beer,” he said mockingly.
“All that just to make me come over?” I mumbled under my breath.
“Did you say something?” he asked.
“Nope!” I quickly replied and went to prepare their drinks.
“You deliver it. I’m so annoyed with that guy,” I told my coworker.
“No can do. Can’t you see I’m assisting other guests?” she refused.
I had no choice but to serve their drinks myself. From a distance, I already noticed Gabriel holding the woman’s hand. When I handed them their drinks, I accidentally spilled the wine on her dress—and she was furious.
“Sorry, ma’am! I didn’t mean to,” I said sincerely.
“Do you even realize how expensive this dress is? You’re too distracted at work!” she yelled, wiping the stain from her dress and skirt.
“I’ll get a new one for you. Here’s your drink, sir. I’ll bring a replacement for you, ma’am.”
“Go. Hurry!”
As I walked away, I heard her say loudly—
“She’s so dumb. Is she new or just totally clueless?”
I let out a deep sigh, trying not to explode.
“Ma’am, here’s your new drink.”
“Fine. Thanks. Now go away.”
I took my tray and walked off.
“What a snob. She acts like she’s someone important,” I muttered to my coworker.“They’re perfect for each other—bad boy and bad girl. But I noticed something… Gabriel seems to enjoy teasing you. I think he likes you,” she said.
“Shh! He might hear us,” I warned her.
It didn’t take long before the woman looked tipsy. I kept watching them. Then, she leaned on Gabriel and kissed him on the cheek.
“That’s enough, Dianne. I’ll take you home,” he said gently.
“Nooo, let’s drink more, Gabriel. Please…”
“No, that’s enough. Let’s get you to your car.”
“I can’t drive. Take me to my condo. Please…” she begged.
“Oh wow. ‘I can’t drive…’ Please…” I mocked under my breath. “Pretending to be drunk, huh.”
“Why do you seem upset?” my coworker teased.
“Me? Upset? No way.”
“Samantha, I’ll take my friend home, okay?” Gabriel told me.
Why did he even have to tell me? It’s not like I care what they do.
Gabriel did take Dianne to her car. She kept hugging him along the way.
“Dianne, next time don’t drink so much if you can’t handle it,” Gabriel said.
“Gabriel, kiss me,” she whispered.
“You’re drunk. Just go to sleep, Dianne.”
“No, Gabriel. Kiss me. After all this time, you still don’t like me?” she asked, her hands roaming his chest and trying to unbutton his shirt.
“Dianne, please don’t do this. You’re drunk,” he said firmly.
“Come on, kiss me.”
Gabriel gave in and kissed her. They reached her condo and continued kissing until they were inside. Dianne took off his shirt, and Gabriel undressed her as well. He kissed her down her chest, but suddenly—Samantha came into his mind.
“I’m sorry, Dianne. I have to go.”
“What!?”
“I said I have to go.”
“Is it because of that girl?” she asked angrily.
“I’m leaving. Lock your door. Bye.”
“Unbelievable, Gabriel! You haven’t changed one bit!”
Lyka cried over what she had done. When Gabriel saw her crying, he immediately suspected that she had something to do with Samantha’s disappearance.“Could Lyka be involved in Samantha’s disappearance?” he thought. He then asked the guards again who had given them the sleeping pills and why they fell asleep.“Sir, what really happened? Why did all of you fall asleep? Who gave you the sleeping pills?” he asked his men.“Earlier, Sir, Lyka gave us coffee to drink, so we accepted the coffee she offered,” one guard answered Gabriel.“Okay, thank you. I’ll ask Lyka about this,” Gabriel said, and then he confronted her.“Lyka! Is it true what the guards are saying? Did you give them something that made them fall asleep?” he asked.“No, Sir. I haven’t given them anything,” she replied.“Liar! You did give it to them!” one of Gabriel’s men shouted.“I didn’t, Sir. Please believe me,” Lyka insisted.“Okay. I’ll check the CCTV to see who really gave them the sleeping pills. Lyka, if I find out
“We need to take Samantha from her house two days before their wedding. We should do it at night—it’s better because everyone will be asleep. I’m also adding more people for protection, William,” Jennifer explained.“Good thing… I thought I’d be the only one doing it. Gabriel has so many guards…”Gabriel was surprised to see Lyka arriving from her office. He didn’t know she had returned.“Oh, Lyka! I’m surprised. I’m glad you decided to work here again. You disappeared all of a sudden. It’s perfect because Samantha needs someone with her,” Gabriel said.“Yes, Sir, because I really need a job,” she explained.“It’s good that you’re here. We need someone loyal like you. Samantha will have company here at home. I won’t have to worry too much,” Gabriel said.“Yes, Sir,” she replied.“Don’t worry. We have many guards, and no one can just get in. If anyone tries anything, they won’t succeed,” Gabriel explained. Lyka immediately informed her brother about Gabriel’s security.“What do we do,
Because Gabriel could no longer wait to marry Samantha, he went to the US and immediately called his parents to inform them that he and Samantha would be getting married very soon.“O son, did you call?” his father asked.“Papa, I can’t wait any longer. I want Samantha and I to get married as soon as possible,” he said.“Alright, no problem for your mama and me,” his father replied. So Gabriel immediately started preparing everything for their upcoming wedding.Jennifer, on the other hand, was shocked when she found out that Gabriel and Samantha were really going to get married.“I wasn’t wrong… Gabriel and Samantha are really getting married,” she said to William.“What will you do now?” William asked.“Well, what else… it’s our plan,” she answered.“Just let them be happy, maybe?” William suggested.“I won’t let them be happy!” Jennifer angrily replied.“Maybe that will only make things worse. Just accept it, I keep telling you this because I love you, and you’re the mother of my ch
“Thank you so much! Mama agreed that we can get married,” Christina said to Samantha.“Really, Gabriel?” Samantha replied.“Papa was so happy when he found out you’re pregnant. It’s always been his dream to have a grandson,” Gabriel said.“I hope it’s a boy,” Samantha replied. “By the way, what did Cedric say to you when you went to them?” she asked.“I don’t know, but it seems like he forgave me. Our conversation went well, and he’s no longer angry,” Gabriel answered.“That’s good… maybe Cedric really forgave me,” Samantha said.“He already did. I know my friend—he doesn’t hold grudges,” Gabriel said.“I hope I can still convince him at our wedding, so you can talk to him,” Gabriel added.“Thank you, my love,” Samantha said, hugging Gabriel.“Samantha, I promise we’ll never be apart again, and our wedding will finally happen. Nothing will stop us now,” he promised.“I’ve been waiting for this day for so long, to marry you, Gabriel, to complete our family—especially now that we alread
“Samantha, let’s be together again with our children. Stay at our house; we can take better care of you,” Gabriel pleaded, holding Christina’s hand tightly.“Okay, Mama! Let’s stay at Papa’s house!” Christina insisted.“My child—” Samantha began, when suddenly Christina felt dizzy.“Child! Christina! Wake up!” Gabriel shouted, trying to rouse her, but no matter what they did, the child didn’t wake. They immediately rushed her to the hospital.“Doc, what happened to my child?” Samantha asked anxiously.“She’s extremely exhausted and stressed. Thinking too much affected her condition,” the doctor explained.“It’s my fault, Gabriel. Christina was overthinking everything that happened to us,” Samantha said, and she agreed to live at Gabriel’s house.Christina soon regained consciousness.“Mama, will you agree with what Papa wants now?” the child asked.“Yes, my child. Mama agrees now. Don’t worry, we won’t be separated anymore. Be strong—your sibling is here, and we love you very much,” S
Gabriel first borrowed Christina so that Samantha could come and talk to him.“Nay, I’ll take Christina for a while,” he said to Samantha’s mother.“Of course, no problem. I know it will be better for the child to be with her real father,” Samantha’s mother replied.“Thank you so much, Nay,” Gabriel said, and he immediately left with Christina. Upon arrival, Gabriel said:“Christina, your mama’s wedding is soon—just one week left,” he told the child.“Don’t allow it, Papa,” the child replied.“I will never allow it, and it will never happen. Papa will stop your mama’s wedding,” he reassured her.“Let’s bring Mama here, Papa. Let’s talk to her,” the child suggested.“Alright, I’ll call your mama. That’s a good idea, my child. Samantha?” he said.“Oh, Gabriel, you called?” Samantha asked.“Christina is here, and the child wants you to sleep here tonight,” Gabriel said.“Okay, I’ll excuse myself from Cedric first,” Samantha said. But when she tried to leave, Cedric didn’t allow it.“No,
