Two : Unknown Man

I am driving for almost all night, I didn't bother to stop by a motel to take rest for the night, and my mom seems don't at all. Her soft snore says it all. I rolled my eyes glancing at her.

Yep! She never woke up since I told her to take a nap. My Ipod keep on playing though. Fast upbeat and some are mellow music. It's almost 6 in the morning, we are now hitting the border of Vancouver,

We passed a few checkpoints. Asking for my driver's license. Gladly, I do have my driver's license because if not, we're probably heading to Oregon. *frown*

"What is your business here?" One of the security guards asked. "Uhm--" I looked at my mother whose still sleeping at the passenger seat, I scoff before focusing the man guard.

"We're heading to my aunt from north, my mom and I came from Oregon." They check on us intently, 'Such so strict' I scowl at them, they are not staring at each other while I am waiting impatiently, annoyed.

"You can go now. Thank you for cooperating Ms. Byrne." I smile widely at them as they step aside to give us way, and as we passed the checkpoint when my mom woke up.

"Where are we now sweetheart?" I rolled my eyes at her.

"Vancouver" I answered her in bored tone, her eyes widen.

"How long did I slept?" I glares at her

"All night." I scoff at her but continue driving anyway.

"Come on, we need to eat and probably you are sleepy, I'll drive after, we are only a few miles away though, we can rest comfortably afterwards." I just frowned and nodded.

We stopped by to a small diner, once we step inside the diner, the smell of fresh bacon and pancakes filled my nostrils and my stomach grumbled loudly, making my mom laugh and a few customers looks at our direction, I felt my cheek burned red.

We took a seat beside the window, the sun rises slowly and the birds start flying and chirping. I sigh as once again Bacon scent filled the air, my stomach once again growled, I heard a low giggle beside me, I meet a small girl giggling beside me. I frowned.

"May I take your order?" She asked giving us a sweet smile

My mom give our order and the girl write everything we ordered and left, she came back for our drinks, hot coffee for my mom and a hot chocolate for me. We thanked her and she blush as she smile and left.

After a few minutes, she came back with our order, we gladly thanked her and she giddily back to her work. and as I about to crash a spoonful of bacon to my mouth when I saw a familiar face, the man back to the first diner we went. I watch him walk inside like he owns the diner and as if feeling my stare at him, he looks at my direction. I almost choked as I shoved the food in my mouth hurriedly and looks away from him.

He looks like the same age or older for a few years from me, I glance to him again when I meet his eyes straight to me. now I totally choked as I patted my chest, my mom attended on me worriedly.

"Are you okay hun?" She asked as she call for a waiter to get some water and as the waiter came, my mom literally place the glass in my lips and I drink the water straight, I gasps in air and sigh in relief as I survived, I was like dying at the moment.

"Are you okay, sweetie?" My mom ask rubbing my back soothingly, I nodded at her.

"Yes mom. Thanks" I gave her a sweet smile and she nodded.

"Come on, we better leave now." She held my hand and lead us way out, but before we leave. she glance at to where the man's table so I followed her gaze, I was met by a smile by the mysterious man, I raised my brow at him and scoff.

"Come on, baby" My mom pulled me out of the diner and hop inside the car, to the driver seat and I hop on the passenger seat, buckling my seat belt. I took one last glance inside the diner but the man with beautiful gray eyes and gorgeous smile gone. I let my eyes roamed inside the diner but I didn't see him but I was startled when suddenly he came face to face, I was shock. yes totally shock.

My mouth gape open and wide eyes.

"Well. hello beautiful." His hoarse husky voice sent chill in my spine as I swallowed hard "Have a safe trip, gorgeous." And with that he walks out and hop inside of one of the sports car.

"Sweetie?" I heard my mom speak "You okay? you can take a nap for awhile."

I nodded at her and still my eyes stock where the man is. his eyes got into me as if he's saying something but I can't pointed it out. I shrugged my shoulder and slumped down to my chair and drifted to sleep.

"We'll see each other again, princess" I saw the man earlier in my dreams and I unconsciously smile.
