"But I-" I stopped in my tracks and stared at the floor, wracking my brain for what I saw. I was very sure I saw someone. I was a little disappointed at myself for taking that shot and letting it mess with my head like this.
"Are you sure you're ok?"
"Yeah, I'm okay." I rested my weight on one leg and struggled to keep my eyes open.
"You should get some rest."
"No, I'm fine. You were saying?"
"Rest princess." He took my right hand and placed a kiss on it, sending a strange sensation from the kissed area to my entire body.
Princess? No one has ever called me that except for father. Why did he remind me of dad so much?
He closed the door and left, leaving me still staring at the place he kissed with my jaw on the floor. Finally, I snapped back to reality and locked the door.
