"Nicole!" Yelled Emmet.

I kept running without looking back. My heart was in pieces and I could literally hear it beating in my head, about to explode. Immediately I got out of the supermarket, I glanced sideways and stood to catch my breath. The heavens opened and balls of water cascaded from the sky, beating me harshly.

Just as I was about to run, a warm hand clutched my wrist. I turned and saw the face of Emmet, gazing at me apologetically.

"I'm sorry," he said softly.

"Get away from me!" I snatched my wrist from his hold. "How could you?"

"It's not what you think." He begged.

"Then it's what?" I asked, anger flashing inside my eyes.

"It's-"

"Leave me alone!" I turned to leave, but he held my wrist again. "If you were with Sophia why did you kiss me?!"

"Nicole-"

"Why did you take me to lake Huron?!" I yelled. There was a thunderclap and the rain was becoming heavy, drenching Emmet and I.

"Listen to me," he said calmly.
