Chapter: Twenty-two

Mike carried Jess down the stairs and made his way to one of the spare bedrooms that were on his floor. Sarah run to make and looked down at the still covered Jess in his arms. Sarah looked at Mike, asking him with her eyes what happened, but he didn’t have to answer, Sarah knew exactly what happened – the Alphas. Sarah opened the door for Mike, and he made his way into the spare bedroom. Sarah opened the bed covers and Mike laid her gently down on the bed. Jess laid on the bed, not making any moves and without saying a single word. Sarah quickly made her way out of the room and quickly returned with clothes in her hand. Mike took that as his sign to leave. He made his way to the door but turned around to say one last thing.
