Victoria’s POV

They were getting closer, and suddenly Stacey fell to her feet, landing on something sharp that pierced through her dress and skin, causing her to let out a horrible blood-curdling cry.

It sent shivers of dread all down my spine.

“Go. Victoria, go. Please.” She begged me, crying her eyes out as she tried to stop the bleeding.

I can’t leave you.” I shrieked, trying to help her, but she was bleeding through her dress and getting weaker by the second.

“Go. That’s an order.” She growled lowly.

I shook my head and wiped my tears as they fell down my cheeks.

“I am dying.” She whispered.

“Run, Victoria, save yourself.” She yelled after me as I ran off into the dark forest. I did not even look back.

The ferocious howl echoed all around, signalling they were getting even closer.

It must have been almost an hour before I finally reached a long road. Nobody in sight. It was as if it were all deserted.
