Victoria’s POV

My vision was all blurry from my tears. I was so mad. How did they do this to me? I lost everything. Alex was mine but not anymore. It hurt so much that he didn’t recognise me.

Stupid Eliza!

She had undoubtedly worked a number on him. How dare she.

I needed my grandmother.

“Get out of here and don’t return, you filthy rogue.” Alex’s words had almost killed me, still echoing in my mind.

That’s why I was running as fast as I could, not sure where I would end up, knowing that staying here would be no good for me.

Soon enough, looks like a small city, and I gasped. This was not just any city. It was a human city. I didn’t know much about it, except we werewolves kept away.

I was here now; I couldn’t just turn around unless I wanted to die, of course.

Shuffling my hand in my pocket, I went down the road, keeping my head down, avoiding contact with anyone. Many people were walking around, laughing and joking
