I looked at the ocean in front of me, blank.

A date.

He took me out on a date.

After all the things he did to me, I wasn’t expecting him to take me out on a date. He just didn’t seem like someone who romanticized over women or relationships in general. I thought he only knew how to romanticize over blood, torture, and drugs.

His arms wrapped around my waist and protectively held me in place. I arched my neck to the side when he nibbled on my earlobe.

“Come,” he whispered, softly as he pulled away but still kept one of his hands on the small of my back as he guided me up to a table, set up in the center of the yacht on the top. The design around me was elegant. Sophisticated.

As we walked closer, he removed his hand and walked ahead and pulled the chair out for me, and gestured me to sit. Still confused as to why he was being so nice, I sat down hesitatingly, not before throwing a glance h
