Keira’s POV“Let me show you where you’ll be going.” Samara says. She pulls out a map. This one’s more detailed than the one Macie gave to me. “Here is Cedar Creek Pack.” She points to a small area north of where I am now. It’s a good distance from Pale Moon and Elk Forest. “When can I go there?” I ask.“We can head out now! I’ll come along to help you get settled. Let me get ready.” “You don’t have to.” “It’s better if I do. You’ll have to cut ties with your old pack and join the new one. Plus I’d like to see my old friend.” She says before heading to the back of the house. I wait on the couch for her to come back. A few minutes later she returns with a small bag and a book. “Alright, I’m ready to go.” She says. I grab my bag and we set off. I follow her through the forest.“We’ll take my car.” She yells back.“You have a car?” I ask.“Of course I do. Do you think I’m some hermit that lives in the woods?” She replies with a laugh.

Keira’s POVMy alarm goes off at seven o’clock. I didn’t want to sleep in too much, just incase someone got here early. I get dressed and eat a banana. There was some fruit and food in the fridge left by Lynn. I don’t know how to cook a lot of things, but I can make eggs, which is what I had for dinner last night. This is going to be such a different world for me. Making all my own meals, and working. I never thought about what this life would be like. I take a shower and get dressed. I look so bizarre with my new hair, it’s definitely going to take some getting used to. I hear someone open the door to the shop, there are three bells that hang from the handle. Keira’s POVOver the next few days I work with Talia on learning all the different drinks and cleaning up the shop to get it ready for the grand re-opening. Talia was nice enough to make me a chart to follow for some of the more complicated drinks, I have it laminated and taped to the counter for easy access. I’ve also been learning how to work the register, and how to clean and maintain all the different equipment. There’s the coffee pots, the espresso machine, the grinders, the milk steamer, the dispensers where we store the cold brew, and chai, and even the dishwasher. It’s a lot of new information so Talia also made me a daily and weekly cleaning/ maintenance checklist for everything. I’ve been keeping pretty busy with the coffee shop, but I’ve also managed to begin updating my new apartment. I picked a pale yellow color for my walls and had Dave order me a few gallons. Keira’s POVI get back to the shop where Talia is waiting for me. She waves as I approach.“Lily! Where have you been?” She asks.“I went to the lake to get away from the crowds.”“Alone? Keira’s POVThe rest of the party was pretty uneventful. I met so many people, hopefully I can remember everyone’s names. I set my alarm for 5 am, and when I wake up it’s still dark outside. I sit up and turn my alarm off. Gosh it’s so early. I begrudgingly drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom. I splash my face with water in an attempt to try and wake up more. It helps, a little. This is too early, hopefully I’ll get use to it. I brush my teeth and get dressed. I slip my shoes on and head out the door. I turn on the lights and stretch. Please let me get use to this. Keira’s POVOver the next few days, Talia and I get into a good routine at work. My body’s still not used to getting up so early, but I’m still going. Hopefully I’ll get more used to it soon. Getting to know everyone in the village has been easy. I’ve even come to know some of the warriors that come into the coffee shop everyday. Tomorrow is Sunday and the shop is closed. Talia wants to take me shopping, since I still don’t have very many clothes. The next morning, I didn’t have my alarm set, but I still woke up early, that’s a good sign I suppose. I get up and make some coffee. I have a lite breakfast before I shower and get ready. After my shower, I do my hair. I’ve been experimenting with some new styles on my hair since I’ve been here, mostly simple ones, but today I’m going to attempt a french braid. Keira’s POVOver the next few days, Talia and I get back into our work routine. Everyone in the pack is really nice, and business is going great. But I can feel Harper getting antsy again. After I get off work, I walk back out to the woods. I need to let Harper out to let off some steam. I walk until I’m deep enough into the woods that no one will see me. Keira’s POVOver the next few days, I was cautious not to draw attention to myself, but I kept my ears open for anything. To my surprise I didn’t hear anything about the incident in the woods. The only thing I did hear was a planned pack run. The wolf I saw in the woods was definitely high ranking. Based on their size and speed, I’m guessing at least a Delta, or maybe a particularly large warrior. This pack run could be a ploy to see all of the wolves. Good thing I’m an Omega and can claim that I can’t shift, which will save me from the run. I’m in the middle of making a latte for an order when the bell on the door rings.
