Lila’s pov

He grabbed my hand and took me to a corner with the strength that I couldn’t resist, I followed like a wolf following the trail of its alpha, I didn’t know how to react at that point. If I had the strength, I would have pushed him away, but who was I to pull away from such strength?

Where no one would see us. He pinned me to the wall, I stood there looking at him directly into his eyes while his hand held my neck. I could feel the warmth from his breath as he stood very close. My eyes traveled down from his hard gaze and found its way to his thin jawline. That jawline that was so pressed hard on my face a night before.

“You didn’t say a word…did you?” He asked me with a cold tone and serious look in his eyes, I was going to say no but my stubbornness held my tongue and I crossed my arms over my chest, doing my absolute best to act entirely unbothered and uninterested in whatever he had to say.

Already feeling irritated. He lifted my face with his hand pressing hard on my chin almost bruising it. I felt the sharp pain by his grip on my chin and pushed his hand away but my push wasn’t hard enough to keep him off, it only took him a step backward.

“You’re hurting me…” I rubbed my chin where he pressed against.

He rubbed his temple looking desperate “I’m doing this for the both of us,” he muttered his voice growing softer, leaning in closer to try and convince me. “Silence is key here.”

But I wasn’t buying a single word of his pathetic negotiation. “Fuck off,” I spat directly in his face.

To my irritation, he simply let out a dark laugh.

Taking advantage of his shifted posture, I turned on my heel and walked away, leaving him to watch my departure. I couldn’t stand his presence anymore. Not my type of setting.

This place isn’t for me, I don’t know how I got myself in this trouble anyways.

Finally out of his sight. I took in a deep breath and held my grounds. I looked up to the name of the school written boldly on the wall.

Stray-ford Academy. But I wasn’t a stray. I was a Saint.

My name is Lila Black. I am seventeen years and from Saint Town, was actually. I never knew my parents , I am an orphan but not a stray. You must be wondering how I got here so let me take you back to how it all started.

Where I am from, we have two communities, the Saint town and the Stray town. In the two communities we have three packs each with three alphas of every pack but the strongest alpha amongst the three pack is chosen as the leader of each community. I was from Saint town and alpha was Alpha Saul, he was also the Leader of Saint town.

When I was little, in the orphanage home, the caretakers told us stories about the other side of the town, it was a whole community on its own. It was called the Stray town. The tales told it was a town for the strongest of our kind, but others said it was the dwelling of the most mischievous and ambitious of our kind. The rich and powerful dwelt there. They were all red werewolves. The most powerful wolves ever lived.

According to ancient lore, the Red Werewolves possessed an insatiable thirst for blood and conquest. They were deemed far too powerful to ever mingle with the Black Werewolves. Because of this, they made an empire entirely of their own. Meanwhile, we, Black Werewolves were treated as mere commoners, left behind in the lower tier of society, we had no thirst for blood or conquest but live with just the need to survive.

To be classified as a Red wolf, you had to manifest, elite traits, primal gifts that made you distinct from standard black wolves. It could be your speed, hearing skills, but most especially your strength. Once noticed by the Alpha Saul, our leader, he considers you a danger to the community and sent to the Stray town. You just had to be guilty of being too strong.

There were treacherous stories told about that place that made our childhood filled with fear. It was a place of power and competition, a place where only the cold in heart and rich rule.

But now I find myself in this messed up place, not by choice, not by a special trait, but by a cause I was yet to know, a cause that started it all.

Aiden’s pov I had made a promise, and I intended to keep it. Back at her place, I had secretly slipped the broken frame into my backpack without her noticing. The first thing I did the next morning, well before heading to school, was visit a frame shop to get the glass replaced. I stared at the picture for a long moment. On the surface, there was nothing special about it. “Why does she even keep something like this?” I muttered to myself. As the driver was caught up in the morning traffic, I tossed the frame onto the seat beside me and stared out the window. Today was going to be just another day which, in my world, meant a day loaded with unnecessary drama. I could feel it in my bones. Turning back, my eyes caught the frame once more. This time, a strange sense of familiarity hit me. I picked it up gently, looking at the details. It showed a dark pit that had wild lilies. Suddenly, a memory clicked into place: the day we both ended up in the principal’s office, when she explai

Lila’s povI stayed back awhile back at the garage. Not because I wanted to, I was just thinking about what had happened back here a while ago.It was bad enough that we were getting close but now it was even more dangerous that I felt so hot whenever I was around him.I took in a deep shaky breath. “Lila focus…” I looked back at the dangling bag hanging from the ceiling and I hit it hard, trying to keep my mind focused on it but could I?Every strike triggered a memory, from the way I turned to him, looking down at his hard chest, breathing hard so close to me, watching the sweat trail down to his well structured abs. Taking off my hoodie and having my body so close to his. To the memory of when I punched hard on the pillow, his pacing steps all around me, his voice like background whispers, my focus shifting from the bag to his body, moving all round about me. The way I tripped and fail right into his arms and the way our lips brushed against each other.Gosh, I struck one hard pu

Mathew’s povI was already on my way home after going over to Aiden’s place to make peace, I knew I fucked everything up in the first place. When he told me about Rayna’s mum been a keeper, I couldn’t help but think of the damage that could cause my plan if she really came with the cause to make Aiden and Rayna mate, she would go an extra mile I’m sure, even though I was a substitute, everyone loved Aiden more, I’m sure she did too. If she chooses to go extra, I and my brother little parlor tricks game wouldn’t matter anymore.I was so pissed that I took that rage to Lila’s place and fucked up. I even kept my distance back at school, acting all different from the Mathew everyone knew. It was bad for my image and whatever plan I had going on.Now I am trying to fix everything, I really have to.With both Aiden and Lila. But first on my list was Aiden, I went to his place and we started off, talking and I tried to have a smooth conversation with him back at place try to fix all loophole

Aiden’s pov I walked over to the fireplace, staring into the flickering flames. "So, what are you going to do?" Matthew asked from behind me. That was a question I hadn't yet answered. What was I going to do about Mrs. Eden? Truthfully, I had no plan for dealing with her yet. I turned back to face him. "Nothing." His eyes widened in genuine surprise. "Are you sure about that?" Was I sure? Not in the slightest. But what other choice did I have? Keepers operated on an entirely different spectrum of power. All I could do was hope she'd eventually grow tired, fail in her mission, and refrain from taking things to the dangerous extremes Matthew had warned me about. “Aiden this is serious, what if you win the bet and still keep away from Rayna, do you think shes going to let that happen? You know the bet is just within us boys, it had morning to do with the adults, and I’m certain she won’t give up on you so easily” "I'll let her make her moves," I said, watching his reaction close

Aiden’s pov “What are you doing here”. I walked up to both of them looking at Mathew in a dismissive way. “Came to see a friend…” he spoke freely. Rayna’s eyes kept darting back and forth between the two of us. “I thought we already established the basis of our friendship …” trying to remind him of our last meeting in my house. “You did…I never did”. He defended. “Even with the way you left?”. I asked him and he rolled his eyes like knowing he was guilty. “I know…I know, it was just a lot to take in and…I wasn’t ready for the truth yet” he looked sincere. “That means you already knew … you solved the puzzle and acted like you didn’t until I brought it up”. I countered him. His eye spotted Rayna looking back and forth between the two of us, trying to understand what was going on. “I think it will be nice if we discuss this….” He looked at Rayna a bit, a way to give me a sign “privately”. He told me and that was it, she wasn’t suppose to be there with us. “I’ll give you tw

Aiden’s pov Everything had gone well back there. At the very least, I left knowing I had put a smile on her face. I liked to think we were on good terms again. Still, I couldn't help but ask myself why I was always so swept off my feet whenever I was around her. It wasn't something that happened suddenly, the feeling was overwhelmingly slow and spontaneous. Sometimes it felt like the universe was pulling us together, and my wolf was accepting the connection as a gift of nature. I didn't know how I had allowed myself to get dragged into this mess in the first place, a situation that never should have happened. Once I cleared the alley, I hailed a taxi. I rushed home as if there were an urgent emergency, because, in truth, there was. That phone call had seemed simple on the surface, but my gut told me there was far more to it. I had hesitated for a moment before picking up, trying to read between the lines. What could Rayna be scheming? That single question consumed my thoughts. Be
