Chapter 1

*Ritika Pov*

"Wake Kritika up! We are going to reach Delhi in half n hour. She will get some time to freshen up." I heard Di telling me.

I averted my eyes from very interesting biography of a great leader and looked at the person sitting infront of me who has a pencil in her hand to do magic with it as usual but her mind is completely far away and is just looking outside the window.

I am observing her for the past one month and I can clearly tell that she is very disturbed. Kritika and I tried to know the reason but she is always saying that she is fine.

If only Priya Di is here with us at present then I am sure she would have pulled out all the information from her favorite younger sister our Akhila Di.

"What are you thinking about? Are you fine?" Akhila Di asked worriedly.

"I am fine Di! Just thinking about Priya Di." I replied which is completely not a lie so she will not know it.

The thing is she knows when we lie or when we not very easily. And this quality is found only in her if we look into our entire family.

"I miss her too but she is busy with her own life. Teaching job is really tough and that too when it is for engineering students." She said holding my hand.

"Are you fine Di?" I asked her frowning.

She smiled and said "Ofcourse I am fine."

At times like this I really wish I have that gift to tell whether she is lying or not because she can really hide everything and that too with perfection.

"Now wake her up." She said pointing out our very own dear Kritika who is sleeping holding some book which I am sure must be some romance novel.

"You know whenever you give me this job I really think you just hate me." I said groaning and she chuckled.

I stood up from lying position on my berth and turned to shake her who is sleeping on the berth above my one. She frowned and smiled the second I stopped shaking her.

"Di! Give me that water bottle." I asked throwing a glare at Kritika.

"Are you sure?" Di asked smiling but handed over the bottle to me when I nodded.

I took few drops into my hand and threw them on her face. She groaned after few seconds and got up saying "Someone disturbed my prince charming face with water."

She opened her eyes and rubbed her face frowning. I thought she will shout at me but she just smiled and said "I am going to forgive you for this time because I am very happy with my dream today."

"You and your prince charming dreams." I said shaking my head and sat back in my seat.

She jumped down and sat beside me asking "What is wrong with dreaming about my prince charming?"

"There is nothing wrong in that until you will not be a damsel in distress in that dream of yours." I replied shrugging.

"I can become a damsel in distress just for him." She said dreamily.

"Urgh! Why are you even my twin?" I asked her groaning.

"You see! When I was going to born I pleaded the god saying 'God, God! I will be very alone if I don't enter this world with a twin so please send some boring person with me so that my life will be wonderful' and here you are breathing as my twin." She replied and applauded for herself.

"If that is called as some joke then I will just start feeling pity for the jokes world." I said with pained voice.

"Whatever Ri!" she said rolling her eyes.

"Just say you didn't have a good come back. Kri..!" I dragged my version of her nickname in the end.

"Don't call me that!" She said fuming.

"Then don't use that nick name for me too." I said grinning at my victory.

"Di! Look at her she is again torturing me." She said whining.

I looked at her in shock but waited for Di's response which we didn't get even after one minute. So we both turned towards her and saw that she is looking outside lost in her own thoughts again.

Kritika got up from her seat and sat down beside her asking "What happened Di?"

Di got startled and replied "Nothing! Did you got freshen up?"

"I will! But tell me are you missing your friends and college?" Kri asked in worried tone.

"Not at all! I am going to have new friends here right." She replied smiling.

"But still Di, you shouldn't have transferred with us. I mean we both got the seats here so why do you need to transfer after completing two years in one college." I said holding her other hand as one is being held by Kri.

"Dad and M..Mom are worried about both of you and I am not that attached to my old college. But why are you asking me this? Are you both not happy that I am coming with you?" She asked with hurt voice but she is controlling herself from laughing.

Kri being Kri didn't understand it and started saying "Don't think like that Di. We are more than happy that you are coming with us."

"And don't forget now we need not stay in hostel and can actually live in some nice house as you are coming with us." I said grinning.

"Just because you both are not staying in hostel doesn't mean you will not live in discipline because I can be very strict." Di said in strict tone.

"Di! We know that you got Mom's strictness in you unlike Kri who calls herself as Mom's girl along with you." I said teasing Kri.

"You are just jealous that we both are Mom's girls." Kri said showing her tongue.

"Why would I be when I know I am Dad's girl along with Priya Di." I said showing my tongue.

*Akhila Pov*

My hand trembled making me lose the grip on the pencil which fell down within seconds when Ritika pointed out that I got Mom's strictness and that I am her girl.

When they both started bickering, I took the chance and looked outside to hide the pain appearing in my eyes. I hope I will forget everything someday but maybe that is not today.

"Di! We are here." Ritika said.

I looked at her smiling and got up to put the blank papers along with the fallen pencil into my small bag. Then took two bags and they both too took two bags each.

We got down from the first class compartment of the train which is completely our parent's idea so that we will travel this long distance from Mumbai to Delhi in comfort.

We walked outside the station and took a taxi to reach the house which we took for rent a little near to the college but not completely near.

Kritika sat in the passenger seat as there are so many bags because of which we had to place two in the back seat too.

We three glanced outside the window looking at the city which is going to be our home for next few years...
