THE WRONG FLOOR

“Can you please stop looking at me like that?!” Ophelia sighed, flopping down on the armchair.

Noah was standing in the middle of the couch set, eying the boy lying on the couch. He got just in time to help Ophelia move Merrick to a guest room. A guest room on the second floor. Dragging a body down the stairs and across the hall without bringing attention to Ophelia, proved to be impossible.

So the only thing left was to keep the boy on the second floor, till Noah figures out what should be done. He

stared at the still body hard. He felt like he was trying to get rid of a dead body.

“I could have sworn I heard Ryan tell him the guest rooms on the first floor,” Noah mumbled, crossing his arms over his chest. “Why did he come up here when he was so sick?”

“He said that he thought this was the second,” Ophelia replied. “Something about how they count it differently over there.”

Noah tilted his head in puzzlement before he gave up trying to understand. He turned back to Merrick
