Chapter 21: New Mission

The bell rang loudly. The students cheered up and prepared to head out.

Jia Wales stood up with a stiff expression. Her short hair that barely reached her shoulder followed her movements. Her fringe hid her scowl. She had a scarf around her neck since she usually feels cold. It was due to her sensitivity to the dead.

What's more, the dead seemed to like to stick around her, causing her to feel colder than usual. Like this nuisance, the dead behind her who stayed with her all day.

She took her bag and waited for everyone to leave before she left the room herself. She then muttered under her breath, "I told you to not follow me."

I thickened my face and shrugged. "I am not following you. I miss my school. I happened to listen to one of the class and since the seat beside you is empty I decided to sit there. It's not related to you at all."

Of course, it was a lie. After Jia's rejection to help me yesterday, I thought more about it.
