Wrong Turn

The small quaint building loomed up ahead and Delilah gave a sigh of relief. She had misjudged how long it would take to get to the nearest area of civilization.

Walking for miles, turning at the slightest sound she heard, her heart pounding furiously as she studied her environment, she was more than ready to rest her tired legs

She knew what she had done, leaving the cabin like that with only a flimsy note to Kai had been a bad idea but in the end she was thinking about his safety.

As long as Liam was still on the prowl for her she wasn't sure of the safety of people around her.

Liam was a monster she didn't want to get involved with, neither did she want another person getting hurt because of her.

Until she found a way to get him off her back, staying with Kai was a difficult choice she was going to have to forfeit.

Her heart felt heavy, her steps slow like her legs were made of lead as she reached the building which had coffee shop in a neon sign.
