SOFIA'S POV

Mike was in our custody now. Most definitely to be killed as a traitor. The joy this gave me— words couldn't explain it.

I smiled to myself as the thought came to my my head again. I was seated by the table with Dane in front of me. My man, my husband.

He seemed a bit gloomy, though it was only for a while. Gosh, he was damned handsome. I knew this, but seeing him now — he seemed much more handsome than ever.

“I had just recently lost something important to me back then, a friend. He was the best of friends I had ever known, and had.”

Watching Dane mutter those words made me feel much love for him. I knew now that he wasn't all that the tough man people knew him to be.

He also had his weakness, his soft spot. A friend of his who was very dare to him made him black out for a year.

I held his hands in mine, loving the feeling of it on mine. “You've got nothing to worry about Dane. I'll always be here by your side. You have nothing to fear for.”

    DANE'S POV Aa Sofia walked into my office— safe and sound, a feeling of joy sizzled quickly through me.The anger I had felt vanished without a trace.
