LEAH
I took a deep breath as thoughts ran through my head, it couldn't be possible. I knew Darren always loved the feel of power, but Victor? He couldn't possibly be working with him or was this Sierra's doing? “What in the world are you doing here?” My voice echoed in the hall causing a chill to run down my spine as I stared at her with anger bubbling at the tips of my finger. I wanted to kill her, ignore the question, I wanted to end her here and now but… I turned away to take a deep breath and my gaze collided with Dante's who stared at me like I grew two horns overnight, had he met her? “Dante, please leave” I looked up at him with literal glitter in my eyes and joy in my heart, I was going to kill her, but she had to beg for it “Leah…" He started and gave him a look that told him to trust me with this, and he nodded his head before looking to Sierra “... Very well, Hans…" “Nop, Hans will stay right here” I smiled brightly which made him glare into my soul, I knew he felt left out, but I couldn't let him watch this plus I needed him to rest because I feel something is about to go wrong, and I fear we need him now more than ever or myself as well “Very well” He walked out with his hand pinned to his back as he moved, and I have never been more in love with this man than this moment Finally admit it The little voice rang in my head and realization dawned on me, I have never admitted even to myself that I loved the man, but perhaps this was a good thing, I hope this was a good thing My smile falls as I turned back to my very own prisoner and I could see the flash of fear in her eyes before it was suddenly not there anymore, rather she was smiling like she had everything else under control when the truth is that she has nothing under control “How are you Sierra?” I glared at me and let out a wicked laugh that made me want to jump with joy for in that laughter I could feel the helplessness, she knew her death was near, but she didn't want to taste it. “Is this your revenge for taking your darling husband?” Her voice was raspy as she tried to taunt, but I didn't feel anything. “My husband just left, I have absolutely no idea who you speak…" “Oh stop with the lies Leah, we both know that if Darren opens his arms you'll fly into it like a helpless duck” “Did anyone ever tell you how beautiful you are?” I asked completely changing the subject and picking a dagger from the weapon drawer before stepping into the vicinity of her cell that smelt like rotten blood. “Don't change the…" Her voice became lost when the dagger rested upon her nape and she swallowed carefully, she was smart enough to know that a single mistake could make her bleed to dead as it was really sharp. “Are you really going to stoop that low to kill your Ex-husband's wife” I quietly looked her dead in the eyes and reached for her left hand before I gently began to drag the dagger down her skin causing a scream to ripple from her throat as pain registered in her head It was the most satisfying thing “Tell me about Victor” I whispered in her ear before pulling away, and she breathes heavily while glaring at me Such strong will, I wonder what it would actually feel like to break that into pieces. I feel so possessed, but honestly, I don't care enough to stop what I was doing. “Over… Over my dead body!” She spits blood on my face and I immediately reached Hans who passed me a cloth to clean my face and without looking back, I used the hilt of the dagger to smack her face so hard and let my foot reach her face before she had time to register what was going on. Both her hands were strapped to a chain that hung on the ceiling while her legs were chained to each side of the cell, she couldn't sit even if she wanted to, her body was strapped to a place and that was nothing but uncomfortable “Get me a sword, Hans and yeah, a chainsaw as well with a longer whip” Hans hesitated, and I glared before he is running out of the cell to find what I needed and I looked at her “... We both know you crave to sit down, your legs must be so numb, let's be civil Sierra, I don't want to do this” She raised her head and her hair covered her face looking like something straight out of a horror movie. “We both know you're enjoying” She sounded tired, and I couldn't help my next move I picked the bucket of water and poured it on her with a strength I didn't know existed. She gasped for air as she got drenched by the water, and she pushed her hair backwards with a flip. “Who is Victor?” I asked again, and she refused to speak, to I unlocked the chain that held her hands up, and she fell to the ground with a thud and groan before I picked another bucket of water and I tugged her hair hard, causing her to grunt in pain. “I don't know" She admitted, and I dipped her head into the bucket of water She struggled under my grip trying to use her hand to push the bucket away, and I pick the rod burning in the coal before placing it against her back and the water bubbled as she screamed then I let go of her head and put the rod back She coughed excessively and gasped for air while I took a sit staring at her with such interesting “Are you ready to speak?” I asked with a smile playing on my face and I heard Hans's footsteps echoing in the hallway but I continued to look at her. She nodded her head and coughed slightly “Who is Victor?” I asked for the third time and I could taste the bitterness of that man on my tongue already. I hate it “His Majesty's cousin” A chill went down my spine, but I remained still, refusing to show even an atom of emotion as I continued to look “... I came across him randomly, and I've been… I've been working with him so since then. He doesn't want to kill you” I raised my eyebrows in surprise. “Is that all?” She remained silent again, and I turned to Hans, “... Use the whip on her” I stood up and walked out of the cell with my hands shoved into my pocket, I needed some water. I heard her screams from her cell, and it sounded like music to my ear, a chill went down my spine I continued to walked, but then I paused. It was the same feeling I had from the woods, but this was the dungeon. It couldn't be possible, I shoved my hand back into my pocket and head out to see Dante standing there like I had assigned him to stand guard “What in goddess's name are you doing here?” He turned to me, and he was… biting his fingers. “You sent me out” “To go to bed!” I snapped at him and looked down at his wound that seemed to be healing slowly. “You are in there with… With that bastard's wife, I know you want to kill her, and it's odd that I want to watch you do it…" “I'm not killing her… Yet” I looked at him before grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the room gently “... I need you to rest, I'm afraid something is going to happen.” His worried gaze looked at me before he pushed the door open to our room and I followed him in. “What is wrong?” “I don't know, but I want us to be ready when we eventually find out and I need you to heal because I don't think I can fight knowing you can't” He studied my face “You've changed, and I love this change in you” “Good because it's going to get worse, get some sleep, so I do not get to kick the king's ass” He laughed then groaned which made me roll my eyes, and I'm heading towards the door when I remembered what Sierra had said and my hand tightened against the door knob I looked at him before I headed towards the kitchen to get some water and I had the strange feeling of someone watching me again, which made me sigh, it was just my instincts I reached for the rail when a hand grabbed my waist out of the blue, and before I could react, everything turned blankDANTE I had slept for less than an hour and a scream had pulled me out of my forced slumber, making me groan in annoyance. I couldn't tell what it was, but my heart twisted with a sore feeling I recognize any day. Leah I pushed the cover off me and I flew to the door but as I pushed the door open my tracks came to a sudden halt, the corridor swept with blood and my heart raged against its cage. “What the hell is going on?” There was no one in sight and everything seemed so eerie it gave me chills, shaking my head, I moved trying to catch her scent and I did. My head became dazed the more I walked, this couldn't be real. There was blood everyway, I could hear clashes of swords and grunts of wolves as they might but the more I got to the do the further it became “Your majesty!” I heard Hans's voice, but no one was there “… Your majesty!” The voice grew louder and the feel of water had me opening my eyes and nearly clawing Hans's face. My heart raced while sweat ran down my
DANTE My heart stopped as I looked down at her body in the basement, she was unconscious, she looked like she was dead, but I knew too well that she couldn't, I could hear her soft intake of breath, but it was slow“Open the door” I ordered the guard and immediately pulled her from the ground, my body was completely folded and pressed into the ground, even if she was conscious, she couldn't go out on her own Anger raged within me as I carried her in my arm. Both her ankles were broken, and I couldn't see scars all over her body from healing. I was going to kill whoever thought it was a good idea to do this to my wife. I climbed the stairs and froze at the top as chills went down my spine and I need not be told that someone else was down here “Jake, take her to the hospital immediately” I put her into the guard's arms, and he ran, I closed the compartment door making the place look a bit, but I could see as clear as the day “… Do not make me find you, I know you're here” I perceive
LEAH I was sick of staring at the white ceiling above me, it was all I could do actually ever since my dear husband abandoned me, my heart skipped as I remembered the fear and pain I saw in his eyes, it had seen the same thing after the battle and I promised myself it wouldn't happen again, but it did I watched the tube and the nurse walked in before I turned away from her, hoping that she will you'll the tube away, and I felt a sight sharp before it is pulled out of my body “Oh thank God!” I gasped and wanted to flee, but she held my hand and placed a plaster on it before letting me go with a quiet smile which made me pause “... Why are you smiling so much?” She burst into laughter. “Well let's say we have never seen his majesty like we did. Yes, he had sick fiancées but he never came running or crying by her side… You are good for him and honestly… Thank you for coming into his life your majesty” She bowed her head and a chill went down my spine.“Thank you for taking care of me
LEAH ONE MONTH LATER I stared at the butterfly carefully, making sure not to scare the hell out of it and just when my fingers were mere inches away from it, someone pounced on me and the butterfly went flying away from my grabs “Why are you out here?” Dante's voice rang in my ear. “Finding ways to kill you!” I snapped and knew a flower in his direction which he laughed at and caught so easily “... I was this close, I've been trying to get one in my hand for the last thirty minutes, and I was so close!” I walked towards him, and he walked back while muffling his laughter. “I'm so sorry, I could pick another flower for you, it's not that hard to see…" He plucked a flower out. “Don't ruin my damn flowers! It was a butterfly, not a flower!” I snapped more, and he paused before putting his hand over his head in surrender. “I'm sorry I didn't know, let me make it up to you” I glared at him and I began to remove my gloves “... Seriously, I'll make it up to you”“Can you catch another
LEAH My eyes flew open when I felt a sudden hit from behind the car, without hesitation I looked back and saw no one, Dante's car was ahead of us. Don't ask me why we are in different cars. I honestly don't know how to explain it. “It's just a bump on the road” Hans looked at me from the rear window and I nodded but deep within I had a gut feeling that it wasn't just a bump on the roadI couldn't bring myself to go back to sleep even if there was nothing like that happening again. The journey was surprisingly long, I wanted to get out of the car as fast as… Something hit the car harder this time and my head was falling front before I could even stop it. My head hits the headboard of the front sit, and the car suddenly halt in an abrupt way “Hans what the hell is…" The door suddenly pulled open and without thinking I pulled the dagger that was resting in the pocket of my dress. Rogues surround the car, not one not to and now both doors were open. I stabbed him in the eyes and look
LEAHI didn’t even have the energy to pretend to be polite as Hannah led us down the marble hallway. My head pounded, my body screamed for a bed, and every step felt like dragging a corpse through the pristine halls of Sun City Pack’s Alpha mansion.Hannah was talking—something about accommodations, the dinner planned for tonight, how honored they were to have us—but her voice blurred into white noise. Dante kept a hand on the small of my back, steady and warm, like he knew if he let go, I might just crumple into a heap right there. We reached a pair of massive oak doors at the end of the hall. Hannah pushed them open with a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Your chambers, Your Majesties. If you need anything, anything at all, just ring the bell.”Dante gave a polite nod. I didn’t even spare her a glance as I shoved inside, dragging my bloodied, dirt-caked body straight to the bed and falling face-first onto the soft, cool sheets. The door clicked shut behind us. Silence.Bless
LEAHThe garden that was once filled with smiles and happiness was now filled with screams of maids and clashes of swords, where in the world were the men?My heart raced in my chest, each beat pounding louder than the last as I gripped the hilt of my dagger. The air was thick with the clash of metal, the frantic shouts of warriors, and the sickening scent of blood. The garden filled with the echo of growls, snarls, and the frantic thud of boots hitting the ground as bodies collided.Around me, the Lunas were fighting fiercely. I could hear their grunts and the sharp sounds of blades cutting through the air, their bodies swift and agile as they moved with the precision of warriors. No one was screaming, not out of fear, but because the battle had already begun. There was no room for panic. Not here. Not nowI couldn't help but turn around for even a glimpse of Dante but I didn't see and I knew too well that i needed to handle this alone I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my
DANTEThe shrill, piercing sound of the attack alarm cut through the air like a blade, a shockwave of cold that slammed into my chest. The world seemed to freeze for a moment, and then everything erupted.A maid walked in without a knock and the look on her face says it all, something was going onI barely had time to register the noise before my body was already in motion, driven by a primal urgency I couldn’t control my body was at the door before I even knew it was. My heart hammered in my chest as I shot to my feet, adrenaline pumping through me, every muscle in my body screaming to move faster. The Luna’s meeting had been so close, just a few moments ago but why in the world didn’t we hear anything before, how could we possibly not hear anything when we were just minutes away, I had been hunched over reports, the quiet ticking off the clock in the background. Now, chaos had descended on us. I could feel the weight of something dreadful settling over me, like a storm cloud ready t
DANTE The day had finally come and Alpha Dante was making the final announcement to the senior pack committee. He was going to leave later at night when everyone was in the confines of their beds because he didn't want anyone to know where he was going, to avoid the risk of them following him. Everybody was not happy with Alpha Dante's temporary exchange of power but when they heard the reason, they backed him and he was happy that they did. He would not have been able to live with himself if they didn't. "I leave you guys in good hands, with the man that was there for both me and my father whenever we needed him. My uncle, Charles Lockwood." He took the hand of his uncle and raised it. The rest of the committee rose their hands up reluctantly, which made Alpha Dante feel a knot in his stomach. He gave them a sad smile before he took a step back for their temporary new king to speak. "I know all of you here are used to having Alpha Dante as your king, and I respect that be
LEAH It has been three days since the incident with Paula and Alpha Victor happened and I had not been able to step foot outside. I was enraged, knowing that Paula had probably moved in with him by now because they were mates. If they slept together, their bond would hold them to each other and they wouldn’t be able to leave again. Especially after she has been gone for a long time. I couldn’t help but feel like the both of them used me for their selfish gain. While she was gone, Victor used me as a distraction and now that she is back, I was tossed away like an empty bag of nothing. It hurt me more than it was supposed to. I felt like I was slowly slipping into the depression phase because I had barely eaten since that night, and I had not bathed since then. But when I saw how time was ticking and moving, not bothering to wait for anybody, I knew that I had to do something or else my entire life would go to shit. I wanted to leave the pack and head to another, where no one
DANTE Alpha Dante toasted a cup to his uncle with a smile on his face as they went down the memory lane. He laughed as his uncle reminded him of all the goofy things he had done when he was young, all the sacrifices he made for the pack and all his parents did for love. He convinced him that no matter what, love always came first for the wolves in their pack. His father may not have done worse when it came to love but he knew if he was in that situation, he would do it without thinking twice. It was a day before Alpha Dante left the Aurora pack to the Tick moon pack with nothing but a carry-on of his clothes and money. He was going to make a brand new life in the neighboring pack since he had never shown his face, or had a meeting with anyone from the pack. Whatever relationship the both of them had come as a result of the pack members, and barely ever from the pack Alphas. “You have always been successful Dante, it wouldn’t be any different this time. I promise.” He placed
LEAH We got to the palace late at night. The doors to the palace were closed, the Omegas were back at their log cabins but the bodyguards still stood, the night shifters who I’m sure came in just a few minutes ago. I was sure Alpha Robert was in our room, trying to get some sleep after a long day. I’m sure he hadn’t fallen asleep because I could peek at some light right from the threshold of the palace. “You should get my clothes upstairs,” I told my maid as I stepped into the house. The bodyguards were surprised to see me, but they greeted me nevertheless and welcomed me back. “Okay, ma.” She nodded before she headed upstairs to my room where I kept some of my stuff. Alpha Robert didn’t allow any Omega into our room because of reasons unknown to me, but I knew it had to do with his mother. She was that way towards the Omegas too, even though Robert was softer than she was to them. I headed towards the fridge that just had its position changed recently. We always did
DANTE Dante's days were getting longer and each day that passed. He was barely able to have a good night's sleep before waking up in sweats and horror, unconscious of his surroundings. He was getting tired of it and taking Maria's advice suddenly didn't seem like a very bad idea. He was at the pack meeting, but he was barely concentrating on what the pack's committee was saying because of his lack of sleep in him. He caught himself dozing off a few times since the meeting started, which confused both his Beta and the rest of the committee because they knew Alpha Dante never showed a weak side. Even when he was sick, he would rather stay back in the palace than come down to the meeting and show a sign of weakness like sleep. "Alpha Brain," Beta Louis, who was closest to him touched his arm which jerked him up from his reverie. He brought his hand up to his forehead and massaged it before he turned to look at him. "What is it, Louis?" He asked. Beta Louis looked at him in
LEAH The next few days at my home were the best. I loved how I was being treated by Alpha Robert, which was strange compared to who he was a few days ago. It was quite surprising for a man that had that sort of tantrum to turn out to be all forgiving and loving in the next second. I was surprised but I knew I had to enjoy it while it lasted. “Are you done dressing up my queen?” He asked, planting a subtle kiss on my cheek and hugging me from behind. My body radiated with heat as thoughts of last night came rushing into my mind. I loved having sex with him, but I knew deep in my heart he wasn’t the one I wanted to be with. He was not my mate, he was my sister’s. It felt wrong letting him fuck me with every chance he got after I came back, even though I knew it had a lot to do with Paula. “Yes.” I nodded, a fake smile appearing on my lips as I tied my hair into my usual hairstyle. I decided to change my choice of clothing today because Alpha Robert’s mother would be here to ta
RACHEL A sharp scream evaded my throat as I got to my chamber and found the lock broken and droplets of blood at the threshold of my house. I was too slow and had gotten there way before Alpha Robert did, and I could see he had succeeded in breaking the locks of my house with his hands which only meant that his wolf side was beginning to show, and it only happens when he is extremely angry. I pushed the door open and rushed to my room where I could hear a little bit of whisper coming from it. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as I prepared myself to see the worst before I opened the room, and what I saw there made my fear rise a notch. My room was completely scattered, my furniture broken and my walls scarred with punch marks. I brought my hand up to my mouth and covered it in shock as I analyzed the damage Alpha Robert did to my room before anger started to sear through my veins. But this wasn't the time to be angry, especially because of what I did to him. I didn't k
DANTE Alpha Dante tried to get the thought of what Maria told him out of his head. He used his usual tricks of making himself forget what was going on- like burying himself in work or going out hunting during the full moon when he transformed but all that didn’t work. He was still stuck in his sad little bubble that was getting worse and messing with his head with every day that passed. Today, he resorted to doing something he had not done for a very long time. Sex. He used to be able to keep it in his pants for an incredibly long time because of the self-control he learned to have ever since he was young but he knew he needed it now. If not, he would either go spiraling or go ahead with what his sister told him which was the last option in his mind. He called in one of his many royal concubines that were just living, waiting to be called by him. Every Alpha that didn’t have a Luna yet had a bunch of them provided by the pack but Alpha Dante slept with them only once in a blue
The days went faster than the nights because of dealing with Paula when I got back to my chamber. I was starting to get irritated with her with every day that passed, and I knew it had everything with her changing an environment because that was certainly not how she was before. “When do you plan to clean up the goddamn room Paula?” Anger seared through my body as I found her laying on my bed with a box of chips made for me by the maids. It was hard to make them because of our potato scarcity, and I craved them all the time. So now that I had the power to have it whenever I wanted, I took the opportunity faster than lightning. “I will clean it, stop whining. You know you don’t have to go through all these if you just tell Robbie about our plan right?” I folded my hands over my chest which was covered with a dry towel I just wrapped around me after bathing. “You don’t tell me what to do Paula.” I turned my head away as a weight settled in my chest when I remembered our l
