Chapter 04

Quinn opened her eyes. Her sight was blurry, and she fought to see where she was.

“Am I dead?

Did I join father, “ her mind was filled with questions.

And she suddenly recalled the events before everything blacked out.

Her father, Alpha Jaxon is dead

He died by his head splitting from his body thanks to Alpha maverick.

What a painful and humiliating death for an Alpha.

“If my father, an Alpha, could be killed in such a way, then my own end isn't far “ she quivered, sweat dripped down her body.

She could remember years ago when she read about shadow pack.

They were the smallest pack in the supernatural world and Blue Moon pack was among the fifth most powerful pack, but now Alpha maverick has captured all the other pack members and suddenly shadow pack members rose to millions.

As she thought back, her eyes suddenly got brighter and she could see clearly.

She was in a dark and cold cell and mosquitoes sang in her ear.

They dance to their rhythms as they devour her flesh.

She wasn’t dead but only passed out, yet Alpha Maverick ordered her thrown into the cell.

She was sitting next to a disgusting toilet

How cruel!

“What would my fate turn out to be now that my father is dead?

Will Alpha maverick order for me to be killed” she swallowed a lump that had suddenly formed in her throat.

She kept wondering what happened after she passed out.

“Did Blue Moon pack protest?

The moon goddess come down to save them and pour her wrath out on Alpha maverick?”

“No, none of this happened “ she shook her head

“If the moon goddess came down, then she won't be sitting in a cell!

None of her pack members protested when their Alpha was been dragged out to be killed like a nobody. Was it when she passed out that they will protest?

besides, no one wanted to get killed or locked up in the cell when they could shut up and live an awesome life!”

Quinn suddenly jotted up from her lying position when she heard a sound on the cell door as she had slept off while thinking about all that was happening and what might happen

The sound grow nearer until she saw a ray of light from outside - someone was unlocking the cell door.

Yes, she was not enjoying the mosquito bites and the cold in this dark cell, but she would prefer it to see anyone walk in.

She was all alone in the cell, so for someone to unlock the door implied one thing, she was been sent for.

And that sent her already paled heart flying.

She wasn't ready for that, not now, not in the future

Alpha maverick will definitely try to hurt her to completely eliminate the royal blood of Blue Moon pack so no one will come for revenge in the future.

“Quinn jaxon Alpha maverick demands your presence, “ A guard said, unlocking the cell's iron gate.

Quinn laughed.

It wasn't happy laughter, but a laughter to keep her sanity

The guard that walked in wasn't shadow pack guard, but Mark, one of Blue Moon pack best fighters

He even called her by her name no more respect for her, his Alpha only daughter, not even a tiny piece of respect!

“I can't believe you have sold your conscience just for your life Mark!

What happened to all the promises of protecting the Alpha and his family with your last breath” Quinn yelled.

“I have a family to protect, so I won't jeopardize their life and safety for a fight I won't be able to win, “ mark said, his expression emotionless.

Yes, Mark was right, so she didn't blame him further for choosing this besides she would have done the same if she was in his shoes

“Tell Alpha maverick that I am not coming “

“Am sorry, but he gave me the order to bring you to him by all means, so if you don’t follow me, I will be forced to drag you there “ Mark said sternly

“You wouldn’t do that, would you, “ Quinn asked, not believing her ears

“Watch me, “Mark said, then grabbed her wrist and dragged her out of the cell.

No matter how she tried to fight, she could not free herself from Mark's grip, as he was way stronger than her.

She was of an alpha blood, but she hardly trained, so Mark being stronger, didn’t surprise her.

Mark didn’t stop until they were standing before Alpha maverick and his two sons.

“She isn’t my mate!” Lincoln yelled.

He was frustrated as his wolf kept shouting that Quinn was his mate.

“I don’t want our part to ever cross” He grabbed Quinn’s ear before he stormed off.

Alpha maverick and Lucas watched as Lincoln stormed off, not knowing what to say about what just happened.

“Dad, I will just go to my room, “ Lucas stood and then walked off.

He was worried.

He has seen how Lincoln looks at Quinn

“Was she his mate “

“No, it can't be, “ he always tried shoving the thought off his mind but what just happened made him understood that even though it's rare, lincoln’s wolf was telling him the same thing his own wolf was telling him.

Quinn Alpha Jaxon’s only daughter, their enemy is their mate!

But how possible it was, confuses him

How can two brothers who are not twins be mated to one woman?

Not just any woman but an enemy

Lol, it was insane.

And the more insane thing about the whole thing was that two men CANNOT have one woman!

It was an abomination but why this, he tried to think, but no answer was coming in.

Even though his two sons' attitudes worried him, Alpha maverick faced Quinn

“You've been reduced to a servant while you fainted, so henceforth a guard will come to you every morning. He will follow you around as you do your duty and take you back to your cell.”

Quinn wasn’t surprised, as she was even expecting a death sentence.

She was led by Mark out of the room.

“I will want you to clean my room, “ Lucas said as Quinn walked past him in the hallway.

He didn’t leave, instead, he ear dropped on his father’s conversation with Quinn.

Since it was obvious Lincoln and himself had the same mate, he thought of doing something quickly so that he won’t have to share his mate with anyone - besides two men cannot share one woman

“Your father didn’t assign her to clean anyone’s room,” Mark said.

“She is a servant and right now am ordering her to make my room sparkling clean so get lost !” he growled at mark dragging Quinn with him.

Opening the door to his room, Lucas pushed Quinn onto the bed.

“Quinn Jaxon, even though we are enemies, the moon goddess happens to give you to me as my mate, but I think my brother is also mated to you “ Lucas laughs

“ I know you won’t accept me as your mate, so I rather do this to make my brother stay away and to also leave you without any other choice than accept me” Lucas bent his mouth to Quinn’s neck

he was going to mark her forcefully as his mate by biting her so that half the mating bond was completed.

But a loud bang that shook the building landed on Lucas's door.

“Lucas, Open this door now or I will send it flying within seconds !” Lincoln growled.
