Chapter 13: FIGHTING BACK

Joanna's POV

I lay on my mattress feeling very weak, I didn't know what to do. I felt so insecure about the whole situation. When I was dating Aiden, he was good to me though all those things were fake I never doubted it till the very end.

He fooled me, robbed me, hurt me and even want to ruin me more. " What have I done to be treated so harshly by him? What did I do to deserve a cruel life?" I kept muttering to myself.

I stood up to join Yolanda in the kitchen, my head started spinning, my ears were ringing and the world turned white.

I heard voices so I tried to talk to them but no one heard me, I could see them but they did not notice that I was awake.

The noise was so loud in my ears, " Can anybody hear me? I'm feeling hungry and I want to eat."

I kept repeating those words but nobody heard, I saw doctors and nurses running around to save me.

I tried raising my hand but my body was numb I could not feel any pain, " Am I dead? What is going on? Doctor, please save me. I can't die l
