Chapter 14: MISTAKES

Joanna's POV

Chris is a straightforward guy who doesn't beat around the bush but goes straight to the point. So I trusted him when he said that he had something important to take care of, instinctively I knew that he had something to take care of and didn't ask him what he had done.

I was tempted to ask him what it was at some point when he was driving us home but I had to leave it to him. I didn't get a hold of him like we were not officially committed to each other, I was just a partner he uses when he feels like making out.

I don't force people to come into my life and I don't beg them to stay so Chris wasn't an exception.

I didn't know how hurt Yolanda was until she yelled at me in the hospital and when she spoke angrily and out of breath with Chris when we were in the car I thought she was okay with the way I was with Chris but within she was pained even when she was the one to convince me to go out with Chris.
