He rushed out and dragged Rhoda by one hand and her bag by another and straight into his room. He didn't mind her protest to break free but told her to shut up instead.

"Do not drag me, asshole. I'm not a cow."

Who cared if he dragged her like a cow? That was not the important thing at that moment.

Thank God he had changed into a casual outfit and a t-shirt his girlfriend gave to him on his birthday which had become his favorite one since then. That was the previous year. And the girl who gave it to him was downstairs and must not come up here to see what was going on.

He might be a billionaire, but he's not a cold and nasty one. Well, not to his girlfriend. He loved with passion and wanted to be loved too. He was one of the few billionaires who believed in the existence of true love.

"Stay here," he told his bride and went downstairs to meet with the angry face of his girlfriend. "Hey, babe. What's wrong?"

"What do you mean what's wrong?"

His mind started wondering if she had found out about the wedding he didn't tell her about. He started wishing that was not the case. She had been out of town for a few days for her business. "Baby, I can explain. It's not what you think."

"Then, it's what? I have been out of town for a few days and I can count the number of times you called me. And today? I called you tirelessly and you were ignoring my calls. What's wrong?"

He was relieved she wasn't angry because of the marriage. That meant she had not found out and he wished it stayed that way

He walked closer to her and held her shoulders. "I am so sorry, baby. And I called you three times a day except today, babe. I have been busy all day at work," he lied and held her hands.

"On a Saturday?"

"What? Oh! Yes, Karen. I had some things to take care of at the company. There's this new software I just developed and…"

"I don't care, Jeffrey. Just let me know if you're tired of me," Karen said.

Jeff shook his head. "Come on, baby. Don't talk like that." He held her face and kissed her on the lips. "I am very sorry. You know I'm not always like that."

Karen pouted her lips and smiled. "I'm still mad at you."

He tucked her hair back behind her ear. "Will five million do?"

She shook her head before taking his hand and leading him to one of his sofas and straddled him. "Ten million."

"Alright. Hold on. I'll just get my phone from my room," he said and tried to stand up.

"I'll go with…"

"No, no, no. Wait here. I'll be right back, okay?" He said and pecked her lips. When she nodded her approval, he dashed up the stairs and wanted to knock, but Karen could hear that and that would be suspicious. So, he opened the door and walked in. "Holy fuck!"

Rhoda was naked. She had no clothes on. Not even one.

"Oh, my gosh! Fuck off!" Rhoda screamed, but Jeff rushed to her and covered her mouth with a hand while the other rested on her waist.

He was tempted, really tempted to let his hand slide lower, but refrained from doing so even though he was getting aroused with the way her breast was touching him. "Don't shout, please. And I am afraid I can't fuck off this time, okay? It's not like there's something special about your body," he said and watched her eyes widen.

He walked to the bed to take his phone and started walking out.

"There's nothing special and yet it gives you...that," Rhoda said pointing a finger at his trouser.

Fuck! It was slightly risen. He clouded his embarrassed expression with a mocking one. He would never let her know she got him aroused. Not ever. "My girlfriend is downstairs. That explains it all or do you want me to elaborate on how she had been riding me with the trousers on?"

Her face flushed. She didn't expect his comeback. "Fuck you!"

He smiled. "Cover that body that couldn't turn a guy on in all of its glory." With that, he walked out, but not without seeing the attempt of Rhoda trying to find something to hit him with.

He got downstairs and took his seat beside Karen who immediately got on top of him and straddled him again. He was glad she didn't hear anything.

"What took you so long?"

"I'm sorry. I had to receive an urgent call. How much did you ask for?"

Karen kissed his neck and caressed the skin under his t-shirt. "Ten million."

"Okay," he said and made the transfer to her. And that was the reason Karen loved him. He would never question the amount she asked for and she knew he wasn't like that to other people. Talk about someone that's prudent. "Done," he said.

Karen smiled and kissed his lips while he raked his hand all over her body, fondling her. As Jeff deepened the kiss, the nude image of Rhoda flashed across his mind, and started imagining himself doing this to her instead. He couldn't help but pull back to caution himself. "Oh, my gosh! This is wrong," he said as she shoved the thought into the pit of his mind which served as the trash can, hoping it wouldn't be recycled.

Karen bit her lower lip and sat upright. "What do you mean it is wrong?"

"Karen, I'm sorry. I just… I'm just too tired from today's … Uhm.. work. Maybe some other time."

"You know we don't see each other often, baby. It is usually once or twice a week."

"That's because you're always busy, Karen. You know I'll always make time for you anytime you want," he said and Rhoda's image flashed back again. He closed his eyes for a moment to caution his brain before opening them.

Fuck lustful desires!

Karen rose to her feet and carried her handbag. "Okay. I'll call you. Bye, darling."

Jeff nodded. "Yeah," he said and watched her walk out the door.

"That was quite an intense moment, wasn't it?" Rhoda said as she slowly walked down the stairs.

Jeff looked at her and got aroused all over again. She wasn't even naked this time, but all he could see was —— He reprimanded himself. "Mind your business and stop walking like that. It's a total turn-off. Are you an old maid?" That was a lie, but she didn't have to know that.

"What?"

Jeff ignored her and walked back into his room. "Come and get your bags or do I have to throw them out the door?"

"Dare me, motherfucker."

“Oh, gosh! Rhoda!” He exclaimed as soon as he barged inside. “How did you fall?” He asked as he rushed to her side. She was in tears and couldn't utter a word. He helped her up and hugged her. “It's okay now. You're fine,” he consoled and she tried to subdue the tears. She shook her head in disagreement to what he said. “I'm not fine, Jeff. I don't think I'll ever be able to walk again. I can't even stand up by myself after falling. I am doomed!” She cried. “Sshhh!” He said, looking her in the eyes. “Don't say that. You are not doomed and you'll walk again. I'll make sure that happens,” he assured, wiping her tears with his thumbs. She sniffed and nodded. He lifted her up in his arms and was about to put her back on the bed when she stopped him. “I need to use the restroom,” she said, looking everywhere but him. He smiled at her shyness and helped her to the bathroom and waited outside to help her back to the bed when she was done. “Are you okay now?” He placed her on the bed, po

After being discharged, Rhoda decided to go to Jeff's house. He didn't oppose it. He was surprised instead. Why would she want to go to his place instead of her boyfriend's? And why would the guy agree to it? No matter how he looked at it, it seemed odd to him. She wouldn't even go to her parents' house. Well, Rhoda gave him the excuse that she had to stay with him because of her parents since they didn't know about the boyfriend. Made sense, but at the same time didn't. He said nothing as he drove her to his house and helped her out of the car onto her wheelchair. She has not been able to stand and walk on her own properly even though there has been improvements in her condition, but the doctor insisted that she should keep using the special chair for a while. And of course, just as Jeff had predicted, Rhoda had been against it but had been left with no choice. As he was about to put her on the chair, she glared at him. "Are you kidding? I am not sitting there. I have legs," she

Few days later, the doctors finally concluded that Rhoda had had enough rest and could be visited, but one after the other. Rhoda said nothing as she saw her father walk in. Her mother had just gone out and she knew he was going to do the same thing her mother did. Apologize. And she was already tired of that. She had forgiven them and had told her mother that. She hoped she would relay the message to her father. She was getting bored with the apologies. When would he even come in? She thought. "Dad," Rhoda called and smiled. He held her hand and squeezed it a little. "I am glad you're better now. Rhoda, I am …"She nodded repeatedly. "I know, dad. I know you are sorry. You regretted it. Not telling me about Sharon, the marriage and sending me abroad? I know. I've forgiven you. So, you don't need to apologize."When would anyone ask her how she was feeling and not just assume that she was better? It seemed no one was interested in that even though she had just been to the moon and

Rhoda got rushed to the hospital in an ambulance without much time. Her pulse was very weak and she was bleeding profusely from the gunshot and was barely holding on. Jeff drove behind the ambulance with the family and his friend. He had been warned a couple of times to slow down his speed, but he paid no heed to them. He tried to. It just wasn't working. "Jeff, calm down. You don't want to kill us all and then get to know in heaven that Rhoda made it to your funeral," his sister said and he shot her a glare from the rear view mirror, but said nothing and slowed down. They arrived just as Rhoda was being wheeled in. He ran to her and kept calling her name, begging her to hold on. "You have to make it, babe. Please," he pleaded as he pushed the wheel alongside with the nurses with bloody hands and into the emergency ward. He was asked to wait outside the ward as the doctor and nurses attended to her, so he obeyed hesitantly, but not before using everything he knew and believed in t

  • OPEN MARRIAGE   Chapter 060

Jeff's phone started ringing. He rolled over on his bed and looked at the phone beside him to check who the caller was. He didn't bother picking up when he realized it was his best friend. Ex-best friend. Moments later, it started ringing again and that happened a couple of times more until he got frustrated and forced to pick up. He put the phone to his ear. "What's up?""There's something I need to tell you," Francis said from the other end. "And it's urgent. Can you come over now? Please?"Jeff was still sleepy and it was evident in his voice. "Why would I? Sorry, but no. Bye…" he said and put the phone out of his ear. "Rhoda," Francis said as fast as he could before he hung up and Jeff put the phone back to his ear and sat upright immediately. The sleep left his eyes all of a sudden. "What's wrong with Rhoda? Oh, wait! Is she your partner too? Is that what you want to confess?" He was irritated and annoyed and he didn't bother hiding that from his tone. "Jeff, no. You know she'

  • OPEN MARRIAGE   Chapter 059

Rhoda paced her room back and forth as Steve told her about the man he had seen that was following her. From the description, she knew who it was. He had found her. It seemed that fate wanted them to cross paths again. "I told him I am your husband –"She squeezed her face as she tried to re-listen to what he had just said. "You did what? You told him that you're my husband?" That would make him confused. "He wasn't sure if it was you. Well, with the look on his face, he was quite sure, but I stopped him from following you," Steve said as he crossed his legs and relaxed on her bed. He sensed and noticed the anger that was building up in her, but chose to ignore it. She wouldn't get mad at him. And if she would, he was ready for it. He would readily take her anger. He was going to be protective of her until the end. Rhoda had been an amazing person and he had grown to love her. He wouldn't let her go back into a life where she wasn't valued and appreciated. He was even ready to fathe
