Kelly

My footsteps made loud sounds in the hallway of the Beta mansion. I hurried to find my Beta father because I needed answers quickly!

"Good morning, Lady Kelly," the maid greeted me nicely, lowering her head and moving out of my way.

"Move aside!" I said harshly, pushing her a little. But instead of staying quiet, she spoke softly.

"Forgive me, Lady Kelly," she said quietly and submissively. The sound of her voice irritated me even more.

I turned and looked at her with anger in my eyes. "Did you just talk to me without my permission?" I said rudely. Without second thoughts, I slapped her cheek sharply.

She started to cry and said, "Please, Lady Kelly, I didn't mean to make you upset."

"You didn't mean to upset me? Huh! Who gave you the right to talk to me? You're just a servant born to serve me and those within my rank!"

The maid was scared by the way I spoke. She was shaking as she fidgeted her fingers, not knowing what to do.

"Guards!" I called, and a guard came right away.
