"Your hair is so shiny, Rajkumari," Heer complimented, as the comb went through her thick brown locks smoothly.
"Thank you," Ahankara smiled, as she continued to work on the small piece of cloth she was decorating with embroidery.
"Maharani Hansa Bai of Kalang is arriving!" One of the servants outside announced, to inform her of the Queen's arrival into her bedroom. Ahankara placed the small cloth of embroidery on the dressing table, standing up in respect for her mother-in-law. She entered Ahankara's room followed by her personal maid, who accompanied the Maharani everywhere she went.
"Khamma Ghanni, Maharani Sa," Ahankara joined her hands in greeting.
"Ghanni Khamma," Hansa Bai nodded at her. "I need to speak to you, Rajkumari Ahankara."
"Of course, Maharani Sa. What is it?"
"Did you say something to the Yuvraj? Have you two been in a fight?" She questioned, making Ahank
"I was thinking, Maa Sa isn't convinced that we have a good relationship. So how about we give her proof?" Yashvir smirked, his dark, thirsty glance moving to her neck."Yashvir," Ahankara breathed, as she struggled to get her wrists free. "Please don't do this.""I promise, you'll love it, my beautiful wife. It won't hurt," Yashvir replied."Yashvir, please don't," she continued to plead with him."Just relax, you don't have to be so afraid. Now close your eyes, and get ready to experience the best feeling of your life."Ahankara shook her head, struggling to get her wrists free, while Yashvir stared at her with a small smirk on his face. He began to lean in, very slowly, making Ahankara's heart beat faster with every second."Yashvir," she whispered, her eyebrows knitted together."Relax," he chuckled, leaning away again. "I'm just joking."
"What?" She asked, frowning."I need a promise from you."Ahankara blinked. "What kind of promise?"Yashvir stepped closer to her, but she backed away from him. He sighed, and then gently cupped her cheeks, not stepping any closer to her."I want you to promise me, that no matter what happens, you will always remain loyal to me, and to Kalang. No matter what happens, even if you get a chance to, you will never try to escape. Because Ahankara, this is not a prison for you. This is your home now, and I can only make you feel at home if you are willing to accept this Castle as yours. So promise me, you're not going to abandon Kalang, or me," he said softly.Ahankara stared into his eyes with her mouth parted, as she thought over his words. Was he asking too much? Definitely."You mean I should stay with you no matter how you treat me?" Ahankara questioned."N
"You were snoring. Like a wounded animal," Ahankara said through a clenched jaw, glaring at him accusingly."What?" Yashvir asked in disbelief. "Seriously? Like a wounded animal?""Yes, like a wounded animal," Ahankara replied."So you just woke me up? Because I was snoring?""Yes. Obviously. What else did you expect?" She narrowed her eyes.Yashvir stared at her for a moment, before shifting closer to her, making her frown. He then said softly, "You know, my Love, I'm actually going to be King very soon. So I have a million responsibilities to take care of, a lot of burdens, stress. I really need to sleep properly to take care of those." He gave her a small smile. "So next time, do not wake me up just because I'm snoring," he snapped suddenly, glaring at her. Ahankara flinched at the sudden change of tone, before glaring at him."You claim to love me more than anything, a
Yashvir touched the small cut on his cheek, and brought his finger before his eyes to find blood. Maharani Hansa Bai's royal ring had really left a mark on his face. And it stung."What have I done?" Yashvir raised an eyebrow. "What were you about to do, Maa Sa?" He questioned in disbelief. His jaw was clenched, and his fists were now balled on his sides."What else did you expect? Do you know the manner in which she was talking to me?" Hansa Bai glared at Ahankara, who quietly moved to the side, allowing herself to be completely blocked from view by Yashvir's large figure."I know. I was right outside, listening to the conversation," Yashvir stated, crossing his arms."And still you're questioning my actions?" Hansa Bai narrowed her eyes into slits."Of course. Not a single word that she said was wrong, Maa Sa. Not even one. And even if you felt offended by any of it, you could h
"Get off me! What are you doing?" Ahankara yelled, making Yashvir cover her mouth. He leaned in, and placed his lips close to her ear."I don't need you to be asleep in order to take advantage of you, my Love. I'm very much capable of doing so when you're still awake, whilst you're staring at me with those beautiful brown eyes of yours. The reason I do not do anything, is not because I can't. It's because I love you. So never accuse me of disrespecting you in that manner again, or I'll show you what I can actually do."Ahankara stared at him with wide eyes, her heart knocking at her ribs wildly. Her body was trembling out of fear, and even after he let go of her and stood up, the fear did not leave her body. She sat up, hugging herself, as she stared at him in shock, her breath heavy."Relax," Yashvir said, rolling his eyes."Get out," Ahankara whispered."Huh?" Yashvir raised an eyebrow.
Ahankara slowly opened her eyes, as the dim light shone upon her face, slowly pulling her into consciousness. She tried to breathe through her nose, but it was still blocked, and even though she felt well rested, she could still feel pain in her legs. She shifted slightly, and her face collided into something, which was definitely not a pillow. It took her a moment to remember the previous night, and her eyes widened when she did. She gasped and sat up, shuffling away from Yashvir. She tilted her head slightly to see him properly, and frowned when she found him fast asleep. He was in a half-way sitting position, and his head was dangling to the side in an extremely uncomfortable way. She thought of leaving him the way he was, but remember the way he had cared for her the previous nights. Even despite her struggles and objections, he had remained adamant on being there for her, and even though she hated him with all her heart, she could not help but appreci
"But I'm not letting go of you," Yashvir stated."Fine.""I'm never letting go of you."Ahankara looked up at him, blinking, as her mouth parted slightly at his words. She did not know how to respond, so she looked down. Her gaze happened to fall upon her hand, that was still holding onto his arm, and she let go, stepping away from him. Ahankara hugged herself, and turned around to continue walking, but Yashvir caught hold of her arm. She didn't turn around, but froze in her position."What?" Ahankara questioned.Yashvir caught hold of her other arm as well, and pulled her backwards, making her back collide into his chest. She gasped, and immediately tried to get away from him, but he pulled her back once again."What are you-""Shh," he whispered softly in her ear, his warm breath arising goosebumps on the back of her neck. "I told you I'm not letting you
As soon as she saw who it was, a gasp escaped her mouth, and a huge smile spread across her lips. Tears instantly formed in her eyes, as she covered her mouth in happiness."Neha!" She whispered in disbelief."Khamma Ghanni Rajkumari," Neha grinned, as tears left her eyes as well. She opened her arms for Ahankara, who readily pulled her into a hug, sobbing into her shoulder. Meanwhile Yashvir watched them from a distance, a small smile on his face. Ahankara pulled away from the hug, and cupped her cheeks."How are you? How's everyone at home? Who brought you here? Did Bhai Sa send you?" She asked in excitement."Calm down, calm down," Neha laughed, placing her hands on Ahankara's shoulders. "I've been miserable, obviously. The Palace felt like hell to me without you, Rajkumari. You didn't even write to me!" She complained."I haven't been getting much time, Neha, and I've been unwell the p
