Chapter 22 - A Wounded Lion
"What?" She asked, frowning.
"I need a promise from you."
Ahankara blinked. "What kind of promise?"
Yashvir stepped closer to her, but she backed away from him. He sighed, and then gently cupped her cheeks, not stepping any closer to her.
"I want you to promise me, that no matter what happens, you will always remain loyal to me, and to Kalang. No matter what happens, even if you get a chance to, you will never try to escape. Because Ahankara, this is not a prison for you. This is your home now, and I can only make you feel at home if you are willing to accept this Castle as yours. So promise me, you're not going to abandon Kalang, or me," he said softly.
Ahankara stared into his eyes with her mouth parted, as she thought over his words. Was he asking too much? Definitely.
"You mean I should stay with you no matter how you treat me?" Ahankara questioned.
