Chapter Ten

Giavanna's P.O.V. 

Sitting on her front porch stairs, Giavanna tapped her feet impatiently as she waited for Grant to arrive. Her two large suitcases rested on the sidewalk, most of the items Sebastian had suggested packing tucked away neatly inside, as well as a navy messenger bag crammed full with her journal and novels to read. 

Her mind had just begun wondering if this was all a waste of time when Grant hurriedly pulled up to the curb. "Sorry!" He called as he jumped out of the car, rushing to get her bags in the car. "I got held up in line at the coffee shop." 

Spying two steaming beverages in the car drink holder through the window, Giavanna smiled and replied, "That's a perfectly acceptable excuse."

Slamming the trunk shut, Grant looked around puzzled. "The rest of your stuff inside then?"

"No, that's it. Well, besides my carry-on." She gestured to her satchel and entered the vehicle.
