Chapter 29

The voice surprised Sally. She almost lost her balance and nearly spilled the milk.

Thankfully, her previous experience working in a cafe helped her find her footing.

When she came back to her senses, the doors to the study room swung open. Blair looked at her with suspicion, “What are you here for?”

In the face of such a direct query, Sally for a moment could not find the words to respond.

After a while, she mumbled her intentions. “I’m here to give you guys some milk…”

She truly did not mean to eavesdrop on their conversation, even though she did not understand a word of it.

“Come in.”

The indifferent voice of a man came from the room.

Sally felt relieved and walked in swiftly with the tray of milk. Setting it on the table, she explained, “I just went down to warm some milk, and I figured you probably have not slept yet, so…”

“Why did you wake up?”
