Elijah stared at Sally, his voice was solemn.

Noticing the tension and intimacy building between them, Ol’ Joe gestured to Blair to leave the room.

The doors to the study room closed.

Sally’s face was red with embarrassment, “Mmm.”

“Sally Summers.”

His voice was deep and earnest. “There is no such thing as being indebted between husband and wife.”

She nodded in acknowledgment. “Oh...I shall not speak of it again in the future.”

Elijah massaged the area between his eyebrows. “Don’t speak of it and don’t think of it.”

“But I truly am indebted to you, how can I not think of it?”

Seeing her slow-witted expression, Elijah chuckled. “You can consider giving back to me with something of similar value.”

“What is that?”
