Chapter 60

The sunlight peeked in through a corner of the curtain. Sally turned over in her bed and blocked out the light with her hand.

She began to regain consciousness. She frowned and opened her misty eyes as her mind went blank for two seconds, then, all the cells in her body began screaming with pain.

'Last night…'

The maiden blushed.

She hurriedly washed up and went downstairs, where the man with the black silk over his eyes was sitting indifferently on the couch with the butler reading the news reverently beside him.

Hearing the sound of her coming downstairs, the man's deep voice rang lightly. "Are you awake?"

Sally blushed and muttered, "Yep", before she hurried to the kitchen.

"You’re awake, Madam?"

Aunt Leigh walked out of the kitchen with breakfast. She looked at Sally with a smile. "Breakfast's done. You just have to go there and wait for it."

Sally was a little embarrassed. "I'm supposed to make breakfast..."
