“…Why are you doing this?” Harold asked with dry throats. He had hundreds of other questions which were even far more important but the one he asked was the first to slip out of his mouth. His lips who had minds of their own jittered for some seconds after came to a perfect hush.
Sarah looked at Harold and smiled, making her cheekbones half a centimetre higher than normal. Her fore teeth showed a little and glowed with the light that shone from above like they were performing on a stage. “Other than the fact that it is important for your blood to be sacrificed for the continuity of Golden Lake, ending you will be ending a weak Alpha from taking charge of the pack.” Her voice was icy cold and with each syllable, like a Lance, her voice dug into Harold's heart.

Sarah smiled when she saw that professor Ericson's wolf didn't flinch. His gaze was set on something behind her. Whatever it was, she thought, it was trivial and not worth her attention.
