It was impossible to stand or crawl at that point. How would I go about getting to the town center?

I am not a werewolf, as far as I know, and this year is supposed to be the year of my wolf.

I cannot figure out why I did not have my wolf.

I have never heard of or read about a woman who was born a rogue, even though I come from a family of rogues.

The Luna yelled, "Get going rogue!" in her nasal voice, suggesting that the window above was still open.

My best option seemed to be to walk down the small cliff to the town center.

I look up at the gloomy, gray sky and say to the moon goddess, crying.

"Please save me from this pack; I am not sure what I did to you. I am sorry for being a rogue.

I said, hoping that Selene would hear me as I begged the sky.

"Keep them from hurting me."

My tears would not stop.

I had a difficult time surviving.

In whatever I did, I apologized.

-CARTER-

I think about that sandwich I really want to eat as I make my way back to the Silver Half Moon pack house.

My homework got done, and the training went smoothly.

Even though I am an omega, if I continue to train, I will be able to serve as the town guard and maintain harmony among the other omegas.

I have always felt good about myself at the end of the day after helping someone.

Because I train, I perspire through every article of clothing.

I know the orphanage will not be upset with me if I do not get caught.

I am safe as long as the daughter of the Alpha does not get upset with me.

Vanessa has only ever caused me trouble when I was present.

She bitched at me, but never once did she tell me what I did to deserve that behavior.

She treats me the way she does, and I could never act toward others the same way.

I can not have done her any more harm than she did to me.

When I open the pack house door, I see that everything is going as usual.

"Carter, hello! Has the training concluded? Omega asks the head.

"The instruction just ended. There are numerous assignments to finish. Please let me know if the kitchen is available.

She smiled and said, "Just link them and leave things as you usually do."

When Vanessa got all bitchy and told me the girl had an attitude that neither a rogue nor a rogue would want to share bread with, I had to bite my cheek to keep from laughing.

There was no more ham in the refrigerators when I got to the kitchen, so I guess I will have to ask the head chef for something else.

I shut the door and the water pressure blasts at me. I raise my hands to keep myself from drowning as I stumble.

When I turn to see where the water comes from, I see that Vanessa provides it.

Why is this not surprising to me?

"Vanessa, just quit!" Trying not to get wet, I begged.

She glares at me, hurling a pan that strikes my chest and makes me stoop.

"Really, who do you think you are speaking to? I am your future Luna, so stop talking, you omega!"

Her voice was heard clearly.

As the weakest members of the pack, omegas are more prone to injury, fatigue, and weakened immune systems than warriors, deltas, gamma, or betas.

Being called omega should not feel insulting because of what she is referring to, but because of what she is referring to, it hurt me. The pain in my chest felt like something had broken in that frying pan.

The pain went on forever.

When I tried to get assistance, Vanessa and I were by ourselves in the kitchen. I gave myself a hug.

Vanessa, I am hurting. Kindly put me in touch with someone."

I tried, but I could not focus because of the pain.

Before I could react, Vanessa kicked me in the shoulder as she approached me while wearing heels.

She stomped right where the frying pan had hit my chest, and I fell backward.

I felt like I was choking on the air I was breathing.

I saw black dots and had to force myself to close my eyes, even though it hurt.

I was still lying on the kitchen floor, in excruciating chest pain, when I opened my eyes.

I felt out of breath from my chest pain as I struggled to stand.

I crawled to the laundry room because my room was behind the kitchen.

As many of the pack members are aware, my dad was an omega and my mother was a human, making me a half-breed.

Mama passed away during childbirth, ending their destined matehood.

My dad's will to live was gone after he lost my mother.

According to what the Alpha has told me about the pack, this is true.

Even though Alpha is our pack leader, Luna is capable of taking charge in Alpha's absence.

I scuttle into the narrow gap between the washing machines and make my way to the back.

The electrical room of the pack house is located behind them.

This is my room.

My clothes are on one side, my schoolbooks are on the other, and my mattress is battered.

How can I afford more things when the housework alone keeps me from getting a job?

It was evident that there was nothing to worry about outside, even though I was unaware of how late it was.

I hear the omegas talking to each other and doing laundry as I lie on my mattress.

An omega questioned, "Did you hear about what happened in that nearby pack?"

"You mean the omega who has been called a Luna stalker?" another person asked in response. Yes, Cassidy is her name, I believe. She was found to have pilfered from Luna's desk. The Alpha claims that she attempted to step in for the Luna."

Is that accurate? I like the name Cassidy. Is that accurate? She expresses. This has a peculiar quality to it. That omega, is not that the one wearing Luna's old clothes? Is that the adopted orphan by Alpha? She works as her secretary or assistant.

With a laugh, the omega answered.

"Well, I have heard that she does not own a wolf. I believe she does not yet have one, considering her age. Why would she want to replace her former Alpha with the Luna?"

All three lay in silence, filled with disgust.

"I have heard Cassidy sounds like a good fit. Omegas frequently utilize other people to the point where they become irrelevant, as though their identity is unimportant. To the best of my knowledge, omegas are highly common. Nevertheless, we are human beings with feelings too. Carter needs to be located. He has not heard from the head omega. The omegas were running around, I heard. A young omega asked, "You think something bad happened to our cute omega boy?" My cheeks felt as though they were growing hot.

Cute? Me? I turn my head to face them as they speak in order to see things more clearly.

"That boy has me wrapped around his little fingers, ugh. I adore his gentlemanly and helpful demeanor. Notes could be taken by other guys. Carter is always there for us, no matter how close the deadline is. I will choose him if I am not picked to be his mate. Do you think you could raise puppies with blue eyes? How about his straight, emollient, thin white hair?

-CARTER- I was finally falling asleep after a few activities when I heard a light humming. To myself, I wondered, Who is humming? I was eager to find out. The more sleep I tried to give up, the more difficult it was for me to wake up, and the more pain I felt throughout my body, the more I wanted to know who was humming this lullaby in my head. I was unable to ascertain why. When I woke up, the first thing I saw were the walls of the jail room from my pack. I opened my eyes, starting to fully awaken, and tried to think of anything that would explain what had happened. How did I get in here? I was trying to figure out why Vanessa felt the need to attack me while I was in the school. She looked like she was in a daze. What the hell is wrong with her, man? I am not usually this worked up about women. She did not stop breaking me just because she believed I was hurting. My entire body continued to hurt, and my

-CASSIDY- The Alpha said, "As long as you do not mention this, she has a wolf," as my eyes were closing. Her wolf is just taking its time to grow, but if you speak up, it will end immediately. I am more than happy to try to get your mother to give me another Alpha. Before you attack me with your big mouth, give it some thought." I heard footsteps from where my feet were resting. He lets out a low growl and asks, "You think mom will agree?" An oxygen waster, a wolfless orphan incapable of doing anything right? You must be joking with me! I heard a howl from a wolf and nearly passed out. "Wolves, I knew they were near, but never this close," declared the Alpha as he stood up. "Benjamin, if you challenge me, remember my words," he said as he crossed over to the other side. She will become your chosen partner." It was just Benjamin and me. I snapped awake to see him hurling daggers at me. With all his strength, he gr

-CARTER- "May the goddess bless my wolf when the time comes," uttered Omega from before. They were talking quickly, but they were still talking about me. I felt horrible that I had caused concern for everyone. I was unaware of their deep concern for me. I knew what I could do in my head. However, I did not want the Omega to go crazy. I apologize for not telling you, Holly. I fell asleep not too long after eating. I was totally to blame. Is there any way I could take care of the kitchen duties for you tomorrow morning? It was a mental connection. With relief, Holly answered. You are okay, thank the goddess. Carter, what took place? You were not at the backyard BBQ with the rest of the group. Did something happen? Vanessa had to be the one! The last question made her growl. I was familiar with Holly. After she talked to the Alpha, he agreed to discipline Vanessa, but he would later call me and order Vanessa to punis

Those papers were definitely here. It was my duty to ensure that everything was prepared. At nearly six in the morning, Alpha and his son are on their way to the Alpha's office for their routine. Being their secretary, a teenage high school student, a rogue orphan, and a wolfless werewolf was not enough. Losing the one thing that can save me is the only way I can get out of trouble. The fact that there is a blizzard outside is terrible enough. What if the Alpha punishes me by tossing me outside during this snowstorm? Find those papers, please! I opened a small slide on the desk to look through it, and just as I opened it, the fall pushed back up, crushing my hands. “Aaaa!” Benjamin laughed, and I heard my voice resound. "You are very foolish!" I shouted. I was skulking around the desk like a rat. "What was the outlaw trying to find?" I managed to remove my hands from the desk at last. Benjamin took hold of my right
