50. Training

We sat in Gwaine’s car, the ear throbbing music playing was enough to put anyone in a bad mood. I sat quietly, trying my best to endure this modern form of torture.

After a few minutes, I realized I couldn’t. “Is your music taste actually this bad or you’re trying to trigger something in me?”

He passed me an offended glance, then proceeded to turn the whole thing off.

“You go ahead and pick a song, let’s see if you’re any better.” He said, smiling as he nudged me to go on.

“I’d rather enjoy the peace and quiet.” I replied, reclining in my sit.

He scoffed, “Scared you’d be worse than I am? I get.” He let out a deep mocking laughter and I couldn’t help but join in.

“I’m not scared of a challenge, I just prefer the silence.”

He turned the music back on and when he noticed the frown that settled on my face, he changed it into something more calming. I let out a sigh of relief as I closed my eyes and let myself appreciate the music.
