“Why would we just begin a trade chain with the Southland packs? I see no point in that”, said Elder Mahiz in protest.

“Exactly, I do agree with him, Alpha”, Elder Surtur added.

“I think you all are failing to see the benefits in this”, Duncan, or now Elder Duncan said calmly. Since his daughter became my Luna, he naturally assumed the role of an Elder. However, I was unsure why he decided to take on this responsibility instead of simply basking in the wealth and advantages that come with having his daughter as the Luna of one of the most powerful packs in the Westlands.

“If we start this trade partnership with them, with their prominence and success in all kinds of trades, we'll surely be thrown to the top”, he explained in a calm tone.
