Chapter 16: Not what she expected

They finally met the Alpha in his study later, when night descended. He had just returned from his gathering with the other Alphas and Lunas from other packs.

Morea still let out small sobs as she pressed a cold cloth to her right cheekbone. Catrina maintained her rigid posture, occasionally glancing at Morea to see her condition.

A wave of guilt washed over her because she had gone too far by hitting her. Zeke stood between them.

"So there was trouble between you guys earlier while I was away?" The Alpha sat in his chair while the three of them stood.

Just like prisoners awaiting punishment from a king.

"Yeah, a bit of trouble," Zeke said as none of the women seemed about to answer.

"I-I was just saying Hello and trying to engage her in conversation... when all of a sudden she got really mad and punched me in the face until I fell to the ground. If you don't believe me, there are a ton of witnesses to this," Morea said as she peered out from under her eyelids at Carlo.
