Character Forty Nine

We accompanied him out the doorway and down the corridor. Justine was assisting Diana in walking, while Peter was assisting Ricky in a little way since he had also wounded himself when attempting to rescue Diana. They both seemed to be in horrible form, particularly Diana's feet, which were patched up and bleeding from all the wounds she had. She wanted a comfortable bed to sleep off the happenings of the day, and she hoped that tomorrow would be better for both of them. For the remaining of us, as well.

We exited the laboratory section of the structure and entered the residential quarters. It's unusual to watch the area to get beyond chilly and unapproachable to warmer and inviting, but I'm delighted to see it. These corridors were well lit, and the air was much warmer. There's still blood all over the place, and even though they've been cleaned white, I could still see the decomposed body laying there.
