Chapter 5: Let's Ditch

Roselle's Pov:

He held me in his arms he's rising chest comforting me,

"You'll be fine," he said

I look up at him "How do you know?" I question

He smiles down at me "You'll be fine " he assures me again

As I nod a bit we sit in silence for a little while "Hey why don't we ditch school" he said while pulling me back a bit

"Ditch school?" I question

He grins "Come on I have something I want to show you..." he said grabbing my hand gently

I look up at him as he held my hand while we walked to his motorbike, he smirked as he held a helmet out to me "Do you trust me?" He asks

I smile small, "Am I going to regret this?" I ask

"Maybe..." he said

I grab the helmet he holds out to me as I put it on he straps it in for me him tucking a stray hair behind my ear, as he sits on it starting it up I swing my leg over wrapping my arms around his waist pressing myself further into him as his muscles tense underneath his singlet.

He takes off as he yells out "Have you ever been on the back of a motorcycle!"

 I smile "No but it sure is different!" I yelled a reply

He speeds quicker the trip going for a couple of hours we head up to a mountain I hold on tighter "You okay am I going a bit too fast" he says

I replied yelling over the sound of the motorbike "No not at all"

He chuckles as we continue up, he pauses at the very top turning it off I take my helmet off looking at the setting sun I get off the bike walking and pausing.

"Wow this is so beautiful," I say

He walks and stops beside me "I found this place not long after I started college it's cut off to the world you should see it at night" He said as he breathed a sigh looking at it

"So Jace what can you tell me about yourself?" I ask

He smiles as he sits on the grass me following in suit "Well my father is quite rich and runs his own company, my mother supports my father in everything she's a great mum easy to talk to she would like you...and well the black sheep of the family is my half brother, my father disowned him It's a long story though, what about you?" he said

"Well my father works in a company, my mother well she is somewhat rehabilitated I think...I hope anyway and my big brother Reece is in University at the moment haven't seen him in a while" I replied

Pulling out a flower from the ground twirling it between my fingers in thought, I sigh a frown forming on my face "I just...I'm not ready to get married, Jace...I don't even know the guy and he could be ugly too" I say

He chuckles "If he's ugly I will rescue you from the torment" He replied

I laugh a little laying on the grass looking at the sky, "Thank you" I say

"For what" he replied leaning back watching the side of my face

I turn my face towards him "Well just for ditching school with me, taking me here, and just being there I don't even know you and I feel as if I can talk to you about anything" I said

He smiles as he lays down beside me "I'm glad" he replied

We lay in silence for a little bit until I say "So how are old you?" I ask outright

He laughs which just makes me laugh along with him "What I want to know..." I grin at him

"I'm 18," he said

"You look older," I replied

We look at each other "Is that meant to be an insult?" He questions raising an eyebrow

"No..." I say slowly

He grins at me, making me smile back, he grabs my hand, I'm startled by his gesture

"Everything is going to be okay you have nothing to worry about," he said

I analyze his face, "What?" He asks

My eyes travel to his lips and I can't help but look at them, he looks at mine, he leans close, and then my phone rings 'Way to break the moment...' I lean up grabbing my phone out and there is spammed messages from my dad.

I look at the time "Fuck" I quickly get up as does he

"My dad is gonna be so pissed I'm grounded for life," I say but I can't help that a smile is planted on my face

"Yeah seems my mother and father are on my case too," he replied.

We drive back and I arrive home very late but I don't care I had the best day "I had a really nice time today" I said rocking back on the balls of my feet

He smiles, he gets off the bike shrugging his jacket off-putting it around my shoulders "I hope we can do it again" he replied as he tucks my hair behind my ear

I look up at his towering figure his eyes staring back into mine, he grabs my hand gently and kisses it "Till next, we meet" he said as he gets on his bike grinning driving off.

My heart is palpating and I turn to see my dad at the front door but he didn't know what to say to me.

"Dad I can explain," I say he pauses as if in thought

"Dad aren't you suppose to say you are grounded, what were you doing with that boy..." I ask

He sighs and opens the door as I walk in, "Your acting weird dad..." I ask

"Just go to bed tomorrow we are going to the masquerade ball your mums taking you shopping" He replied, I roll my eyes in annoyance and head up to bed thinking of Jace.
