Once Innocent

Roselle's Pov:

I wake up stretching with a smile on my face ready to see my Cheerleading team and my boyfriend Jake, "This is the life" I sigh in absolute happiness, I get up cracking my back.

"Roselle breakfast" my father hollers from downstairs

"Coming!" I yell out, I skip down the stairs "Hey Dad what's for breakfast, oh lord your famous omelet" I dig right in as my father folds his arms leaning back on the bench as if contemplating what to say to me next.

"Your mother..." He trails off.

I pause eating 'Way to put a damper on my good mood' putting my fork down I look up at him, "How is she?" I ask

"Well she's in rehab she finally decided to go last night..." I could see the contempt lingering in his eyes he looks as if he hasn't slept all night

"Dad are you okay?" I question worried

As if he comes to his senses he smiles "Yes I'm fine don't worry about me..." he hugs me as I hug him back

"Now eat your breakfast and go get ready I'll drop you off" He says as he is tidying up the plates, I smile as I get ready for my first day back.

"Now remember please behave especially around that thing your dating," He says

I raise my eyebrow "Dad... he's sweet just get to know him" I reply

"Yeah sweet as a toxic lemon there's playboy written all over him," He said

I snicker at his words "Yeah toxic lemon some words to use dad" I laugh and continued while getting out of the car "And he is no playboy he is sweet and a gentleman in fact" I state he rolls his eyes as if he gives up as he waves me off smiling.

I walk into the school sighing missing it, "Hey hun missed you so much" Victoria says arm wrapped around my shoulder her squeezing me close to her.

"How was your summer?" I ask

She smiles "Had a lot of excitement and a lot of sex" she replied smirking

I roll my eyes "What come on Roselle your going to have to lose it sometime..." She winks I shake my head laughing.

"Hey, babe" I look up to see Jake as he wraps his arm around my waist

"Want to go out for dinner tonight?" He questions, raising an eyebrow with that grin that makes me weak to the knees.

"That sounds good, meet me at your place?" I ask

"Nah I'll meet at yours," he says as he kisses me on the lips

"Have you heard from Richelle and Janelle?" I question Victoria

"Oh no actually I haven't" she replied in confusion, we all walk into school and go our separate ways heading off to our classes.

"Okay, everyone 1,2,3,4" Victoria counts down as we start chanting our cheerleading song

"Knock 'em downturn it around, Come on panthers take them down" We chant our song as we jump and do movements, Jake taking the score tackling the other team player as he laughs at the other team's failure, which causes a ruckus as punches are thrown we stop suddenly shocked at what's unfolding.

"Oh, my stop!" I yell out as the coaches pry them apart

"Your girlfriend looks fuckable sweetheart if you want a real man you know where to find one," The other team member said towards me

Jake, suddenly he throws his helmet off as he pushes the coaches out of the way and lunges at him my eyes are widened in shock I've never seen him so angry.

I walk off fast pacing getting away from the drama heading home hugging myself "I've never seen him so angry and having that look in his eye" I say to myself in thought.

"That's a side I've never seen before...I need to talk to him" I pause as I head to his house.

I knock as I see his brother he suddenly looked panicked, "What are you doing here Roselle?" He questions as he looks up the stairs.

"I'm here to see Jake he got into a fight at the match...why aren't you letting me in," I ask, he pauses as if not knowing what to say I push him out of the way as I head up the stairs

"Roselle you don't want to see-" I slam the door open and to my horror I see Victoria and Jake having sex on his bed that I sleep in.

He looks well startled at my arrival, "Angel-" he says

But I stop him with a hand "Just answer me this how long has this been going on for?" I ask looking at both guilty faces I once called best friend and boyfriend

He pauses "And how long have you known Jackson?" I question in disbelief, he looks pained, not able to meet my eyes

"We are done Jake and we are done Victoria have fun with your whore" I exit as he chucks his clothes on calling out my name.

He stops me from going out the door "I didn't mean to do it.." I laugh at this sorry excuse

"What did she do tie you down and force you to do it no you had a mind of your own Jake and you know what I'm not angry I'm fucking just disappointed in you and myself for letting this go any longer I should have listened to the rumors that went around but I was so naive and defended you goodbye your clothes will be in the trash can " I replied

I shake my head and began walking as Victoria sends me a series of texts saying she was sorry but I just was in shock and threw my phone in the trash can feeling defeated.
