Chapter 29

"That's some good news," Rosemary replied to what her husband had said about considering keeping the funding for Helen's final year. But when she looked at her daughter's stern face, she sighed.

Rosemary was aware that Helen had always wished to work at Roberts Pharmaceutical, and now the company was gone.

Walking up to her daughter, Rosemary held Helen's hand and advised her, "Don't lose hope, Helen. Someday, you will build back Roberts Pharmaceutical, alright?"

Breathing out heavily, Helen forced a tight smile and replied, "Okay, Mom."

Helen felt better after hearing her mother's comforting words, and they went back into the house together.

Later in the evening, Helen stepped out to have dinner with her parents, as her mother called her and told her that dinner was ready.

When Helen walked downstairs to join her mother, she saw the living room door open and her older brother, Patrick, arrive.

Patrick wore a yellow shirt and black trousers with a pair of black shoes.
