Killian

"What!?"

The man only flinches on hearing my yell, with the chains he's bound in on dangling. He's shirtless, full of sweat, with the bruises on his body healing in a gradual process.

"I only left to take a piss and when I returned I saw everyone dead. It looked like they got attacked by a beast and not even a group of vampires because the bodies were in charred remains." He coughs out, avoiding my eyes.

"Bullshit!" I slam my fist against the wall in distress because this is clearly not what I want to hear. Moreover, the bastard has blocked me from linking my mind to his so I can't find the answers I need.

My men don't utter any word because they know how agitated I am at this point.

I am in the dungeon that is at the far end of my mansion. This is where I bring in suspects to torture them, or even killed them when they seize from giving me required informations.

Wrapping my hand around the man's neck, I watch as he tries to free my grip but cannot because he's bound by chains on the chair.

The culprit, Chris Fitzpatrick, has been giving out pieces of information about my pack to the vampires. It's obvious he was compelled by one of the Vampires and is being used as a means to know more about the Blue Wave pack. And just last night some vampires attacked and killed the wolves unloading goods at my warehouse.

"Killing him won't be of help at this point, Killian. He isn't in his right state of mind. He hasn't shifted into his wolf yet, that's why he's still under compulsion." Dylan, my Beta, speaks up so as to stop me because Chris is his sister's mate, but I am too furious to listen to him.

I think about the gory sight I was welcomed with this morning when I went to the warehouse. Roughly fifteen members of my pack were dead, with charred remains blood everywhere. Not just that, my goods worth millions of dollars were as well vandalized by those fucking bloody thirsty, envious beasts.

Chris Fitzpatrick's eyes are traveling into the back of his head, his mouth is wide open with his tongue out as he lets out groans like someone who's at the verge of dying.

I release my hand off his neck and take a step back.

Suddenly feeling the urge to get the hell out of here because it's quite useless now, I let out a low exhale, turn away from the compelled bastard wolf in front of me, and start heading out of the dungeon, with Dylan my Beta, and the rest of my men trailing after me.

"I think it's time we invent anti-compelling contact lenses for the vulnerable wolves because of these vampires," Dylan suggests, doubling his pace because each stride I take, he takes two due to the fact that I am taller and beefier than him.

"I don't see the need to, these vampires want a bloody war and they'd get it." I ground out, then clench my fists because my body can no longer contain the anger boiling inside of me. "What's my remaining schedule for the day?" I throw him a glance through my shoulder.

"You have a meeting in less than thirty minutes, then dinner with Gamma Elijah and his family."  We're ascending the steps of my basement as Dylan informs me, more like he's made a mental note of everything.

"-afterward you're to head to the gym, before returning to calculate the accumulated data sheets of -"

"Fine, let's just go." I almost roll my eyes in frustration while hearing all of this.

                           ***

It's late in the night and I am driving all alone to my mansion. Earlier, I dismissed all of my men after having dinner with Gamma Elijah and his family, and then he pissed me off by asking me if I didn't find his daughter, Elizabeth desirable.

Of course, this made me realize he wanted me to make his daughter my Luna. They had it planned all along because I was yet to find my mate and I didn't care about it because I already have women both werewolves and humans, warming my bed.

Afterward, I had excused myself and left when the said Elizabeth's stare was worshiping me like I was an idol, with her wolf wanting to connect with mine. Which was darn disgusting to me.

When I dismissed Dylan with the rest of my men that I wanted some time alone, they reluctantly returned to my mansion.

I am shoved out of my thoughts instantly, and it takes a moment for me to realize that my car is being jerked off the road and held up in the air.

And my brain instantly comprehends that I am under attack by something.

I don't panic at all, because I am an Alpha. And it's the thing who is trying to harm me that should be scared because I do receive attacks from different pack members and beasts and I always defeat them.

I shift into my wolf and attempt to burst out of the car, but then the car is thrown against a giant tree in the bush, causing my wolf to violently collide against the steering wheel as the windows break and the shattered glasses pierce through my body.

The body of my wolf invigorates for war and I hop out of the vandalized car, ready to break all the limbs of the unknown enemy that dared attack me.

But then it gives me no room to strike back because it's already injuring my wolf with its giant claws.

Bleeding and suddenly growing weak from some strange forces, I let out a loud growl and dive into the beast-like wolf, but it sent me crashing into a tree after digging into my stomach with its metallic claws.

My vision is going hazy and I feel too weak to even move a limb because the wolf attacking me is not an ordinary wolf. The redness in his eyes gives out that he too is an Alpha, a much bigger Alpha with venomous metallic canines and claws which is absurd.

The bruises I sustained from the attack are still visible, they don't even heal just like any normal bruise would heal.

At this point, I know I have to run for my life or die.

As the giant odd-looking wolf lunges toward me, my wolf runs away in fast gallops, scared we'd both die. He runs as fast as possible without looking back because he knows the enemy wolf is following suit.

Finally, he passes through an entrance where my attacker cannot enter.

Feeling faint we start taking a dark alley, and it seems as though I am going to pass out at this point after losing so much blood.

My wolf stops at the doorstep of an apartment with a cramped outward appearance.

And I shift back into my human form before I lose consciousness.
