Raven’s POV

I walked into the cafeteria at noon and the whole place went silent.

It wasn’t the normal shouty quiet when the star players show up. This was different.

Heads turned and eyes looked away the second I looked back.

A group of sophomore wolves at the closest table picked up their trays and moved to the far corner as if I carried something contagious.

What the—

I felt it hit my chest.

I grabbed a bottle of water and a sandwich I didn’t want and headed for the table where the Ice Fangs always sat.

Ethan wasn’t there yet. Luca had his headphones on, staring at his phone.

Dante sat across from him, arms crossed, his jaw tightened and Eli was missing completely.

I sat into the empty seat next to Luca. Nobody said hi.

Rude fellas.

I waited ten seconds and the silence became worse.

“What is going on?” I finally asked.

Luca pulled one headphone off. His brown eyes met mine for half a second then looked away. “You have not heard?”

“Heard what?”
