Adele's POV

The scandal involving Lucius blew up so badly that even I, thousands of miles away in a foreign country, heard about it.

On the television screen, he stood surrounded by countless microphones.

His brows were drawn tight, his face deathly pale, yet he had nowhere to vent his anger.

It was the first time I had ever seen him look so utterly defeated.

Curled up on the sofa, I chewed on potato chips and watched with keen interest.

Then the doorbell rang.

The new travel planner had arrived.

Since coming to this country, Baercheqe, my life had been nothing but indulgence.
